How do I fix this missing mesh?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:04 pm

somehow lost my rain effects now. It was raining before with sound of rain and my 'thermal' sickness affecting my fatigue from the mods I have, and now I just hear the rain and still have loss of fatigue...rrrr

Here is what I would do:

  • Install the BSAs
  • Redate them to 01-01-2006 (download a tool that can do this)
  • Rename them to xulTheHeath - whatever they are named now.bsa (this is to load the bsa last)

this will ensure that the game has any missing resources, and that anything else that conflicts with it "overwrite" it.

xul isn't that Unique Landscapes?

Doesn't matter, you have it in your load order.

A BSA can be loaded by any esp, using that ensures that it has low priority (BSAs has priority based on name)

Ok so just drop all the BC BSAs into the data directory renaming them to something last in the alpha list?

Can WB change the date/time? If not what tool?

yes rename to a name of a esp starting with a letter last in the alphabet.

WB cannot change the date of a bsa, google a tool.

Renamed both bc meshes and textures bsa's and now the neon sign is gone. No dates were changed.

Now I wonder what mod needs this fixed in...

Now to figure out why my rain is missing.

The date change is only a precaution, any file in the data\* folders (textures, meshes) that are dated older and conflicts with a file in the bsa will not be used by the game, it will use the one from the bsa.

OBMM can change the date - but only on all BSA files at once. It's under Utilities->Archive Invalidation->Reset BSA Timestamps. They'll all be set to 1/1/2006.

That hired guard you're looking at btw came from BC, not TIE, so TIE has nothing to do with this issue.

Ok. I know TIE webpage made mention of them:

Over 800 NPCs: Assassins, thieves, pickpockets, bards, pilgrims, alchemists, hunters, adventurers, varied Imperial Forces, barbarians, nightblades, commoners, hired guards, priests and healers, scavengers, tomb raiders, bandits & wizards, fences, infamous villains, heros - these are just some of the new and interesting types of characters you will encounter in TIE. Above all else, this feature is the singlemost visual addition to the vanilla game. All custom made NPCs feature vanilla content and items for their clothing, behaviour, items, and weaponry. Think of it as Morrowind Comes Alive - for Oblivion.]

I'm sure I've never seen a hired guard ever and I've been using BC for a while now.

I know that, but some bsa need to have a specific date to "overwite" previous installed content.. That was why I didn't mention it.

I'm aware of that. Your Refscope data clearly says the NPC is from BC though.

I'm doing the Coinpurse issue now, and while in there I pointed at the guard and it said TIE, so either one got mixed into the other, or BC has a few?

Come join me over there now for help
