What mods with lots of small quests do you know?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 2:32 pm

I am asking because one the things I love most in Oblivion is doing quests, and most of the time I focus on completing them, and I don't like exploring for no reason, just to clear a dungeon. But when the dungeon has an item or a creature to defeat for a small or large quest I really enjoy clearing it.

The quests are an essential impulse for me, so I would like to know what great mods are out there that I don't know that add a lot of small interesting quests like the mods I mention in the topic description.

Ah yes, I knew that site but forgot to check it again in my latest install and so I missed some of the big mods talked about there. Most of them I already played or I have them installed, but some really big ones I missed it seems. YEY! Thank you :)

You might like lost sword of the ayleid, the ayleid steps, Dungeons of Ivellon and Kvatch Rebuilt. Those are just a few that I have installed.

Dungeons of Ivellon and Kvatch Rebuilt I have installed a while back, and the ayleid steps I will install next. The sword of the ayleid I am gonna leave for later.

Dwip's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22828 adds quite a few quests, as well as expanding Weye.

No problem. If you want more village mods (most with some small quests), check out Arthmoor's villages: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26643, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33462, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30000, and http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21562. They rock, and feel like they were in the game to begin with. Especially Faregyl.

Ah, yes, I noticed the villages a while back but I planned to install them later, after I have enough quests to keep me satisfied when playing.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7572 - adds women in need of rescue to random dungeons
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25078 - adds quests to merchants after you do a certain amount of business with them: "Merchants will ask you for help to find items in caves/ruins that otherwise see little action."
...those might at least spice up random dungeon clearing a bit...

Damsels in Distress I played a long time ago but I didn't like it because it seemed kinda silly for me to see inocent survivors in such dangerous dungeons. I expected to find only pieces of damsels in the normal Oblivion Dungeons :) and that mod changes that making the dungeons feel kinda weird for me.

EE I already know and play its quests and I mentioned it in the topic description. This is the kind of mod that adds quests that I like to play.

It has now been over a year since the quest list has been updated (August 2009). It's a good and often linked to list but it's getting more outdated every day, so maybe we need a new one.

Region Revive-Lake Rumere adds a bunch of (mostly) low level quests in a series of small settlements around the banks of the lake. It adds quite a bit to Weye, but is compatible with AFK Weye via a patch.

It looks nice, thanks. I know that AFK Weye is compatible with UL, FCOM and most mods, but I don't see enough info about compatibility in Lake Rumare, do you know of any incompatibilities before I install it?

Kragenir's Death Quest and Windfall are probably the mods with the most quests.

Kragenir Death Quest I already installed and Windfall I barely noticed now in TOQL and I will definitely install it. That list is very useful and I agree with povuholo that a new updated one would be useful if its made.

BTW Thank you povuholo for Kragenir Death Quest :foodndrink:

No, I haven't played it yet but I plan to in the future since I also heard it is good.

I haven't actually finished it yet, but it really fits nicely with the vanilla game. Plus, it's the only mod I know of that adds quests based on housing upgrades (you'll see what I mean if you read the walkthrough). I'd give it a 10 out of 10.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14714 adds a pretty big quest arc - with the goal of getting and upgrading a castle.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

And I just found http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29776 - may look into adding that too. Probably need to move stuff around in the castle.
