AAAAAArgh I'm tearing my hair out :/

Evening ladies ;)

I've been trying to get MMM working for like a month now and it's just not having it :brokencomputer: :/ :/

I've lost count of how many reinstalls I've done: It goes like this:

1. Uninstall Oblivion using the uninstaller

2. Manually delete the Bethesda folder ( because the uninstaller doesn't do it).

3. Delete registry entries.

4. Reinstall in the following order:

Oblivion
Unofficial Oblivion Patch
UK patch 1.2.0416
OBMM
OBSE 017b
OOO 1.3 (Extract to desktop and then manually copy the files over, Winrar doesn't like extracting straight to the Data folder for some reason)
OOO 1.4 patch

Load up OBMM and create the following OMODS, by browsing to the RAR file (is this right?)

One omod for the BSA file (373BSA)
One omod for the MMM 37b3 public release file
One omod for the OMOD installer (1.6.1)

Sort the load order with BOSS

Here's a pic of my OBMM:

http://i37.tinypic.com/1zxs1n9.jpg

The 1st omod is the installer
The 2nd is the BSA
The 3rd is the public release file

I get this a lot when I'm installing:

http://i35.tinypic.com/24yoin8.jpg

and then this:

http://i36.tinypic.com/wkocih.jpg

Then I get those WTF missing mesh yellow things in game.

Manual installs just dont work at all, Oblivion won't even load, I'm going to have an aneurysm unless I get it going, can someone please help? There'll be a crate of Guinness in the post for you if you can :foodndrink:

If you post your load order it might be easier to find the problem.

You should only create one OMOD containing the BSA, the plugins and the OMOD installer - 'add archive' three times (once for each .RAR file), 'create OMOD', wait, activate and follow the instructions.

:foodndrink:

Edit to clarify and suggest OBSE V18

This is indeed your problem.

TheNiceOne's http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/995334-mmm-and-fcom-omod-installers is probably the easiest route for OMOD installs of MMM 37b3.

That's the one I'm using.

I've got the omod working properly now (it's installed with no errors) with the three files combined, but I'm still getting yellow wtf meshes

Load order as follows:

Oblivion .esm
Oscuro .esm
MMM .esm
MMM for OOO .esm
UOP
Oscuro .esp
MMM for OOO .esp

I think this more to do with OOO than MMM. I've copied all the meshes/textures etc into my Data folder loads of times....I also have ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated too.

Install http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862 - create OMOD from archive as before. It requires OBSE v18. This will tell you what the missing meshes are from, and they're path in the data folder.

There is an OOO 1.33 omod on TESnexus. I used that and then just copied in the 1.34b5 patch manually.

The 1.33 archive on PES is OMOD-Ready. Also, you could pack OOO 1.34b5 Update into an OMOD and activate it on top of OOO 1.33 instead of doing anything manually.

One more question chaps:

I can't seem to get any slow level mods to work - I'm levelling up very quickly. I've tried adjusting them through the OOO omod (both the default OOO speed and Bofra's) installation menus, but it has no effect.

I've disabled all mods and tried running the game with only OOO and the obvlion esm active, this doesn't work either.

Also tried running the game with Level rates modified (x3 slower). This doesn't work either, nothing I can do to slow them down.

Help!

OOO's default is 3x slower. You should not have to have any plugin other than OOO.esp (and the ESM as well, I guess) in order to see that effect. Do you have the latest official patch installed? If you are not seeing that effect, then I presume none of OOO is working.

The rest of OOO and all the plugins are working fine. It's just the levelling that isn't. I can't wrap my head around it...

Are you sure that the progression has not been slowed down? Use SDT 10 to look at the values more closely. You may also want to try adding Progress and see if you can force the x3 slowdown through it.

Ok, one more question if you will indulge me chaps:

Got loads loads of mods installed etc, seems to be working and stable now (fingers crossed), just one problem left - quicksave and save on travel take a while. A couple of seconds to start with and then the more I play the longer it gets. After half an hour's play it takes seven or eight seconds to save. LIke I say, I have loads of mods, if you need me to give you my load order, I cam, just wondered if anyone has any ideas what might be causing it?

Any help is appreciated.

Do *not* use the built-in quicksave and autosave features: they get corrupted *very* easily. Do manual saves, or use the Streamsave feature of Streamline or find another mod that will do proper automatic saves for you. Relying on the quicksaves and autosaves is liable to make your game more and more unstable and you may find one day you can't even load your saves.

What Vacuity said, I guess, although I've never had any issues with quick saves personally. But that seems to be the consensus. You should turn off autosave on wait/travel/sleep - I know from personal experience that they can cause CTDs.

Anyway, depending on the rig it can take quite a while to make purges and saves. And then it will take longer the longer game session you have. So I'd say that's normal.
