Mannimarco Resurrection Mod-Trouble Installing

Post » Fri Sep 03, 2010 10:56 am

Hey, I'm new to this forum but I have a quick question or more like a problem that I really would like some help on..

I have downloaded and tried to install the Mannimarco Resurrection mod, however no matter what i do i can't seem to get any of the content to appear in my game (the new battlemage barracks and the new dark fissure for instances are not there). I installed the mod using the Oblivion mod manager and it seemed to be a flawless install with no conflicts. However, no changes to my game have been made. The strange thing is that I can use the console to create some of the items that the mods uses (aka I was able to create the new mannimarco and a bunch of thrall maligners, as well as the sword of skulls), so it seems that the game recognizes that the content is there, but it just doesn't want to use it. Can anyone whose used this mod before or who knows how to install a mod like this correctly help me? It would be much appreciated.

Is your game patched to 1.2.0416? Most mods won't work without it.

I have the Game of the Year Edition so I assume that it is fully patched correct? Another thing I noticed was that I disabled the shivering isles and knights of the nine dlcs (I unchecked them in the data files screen) and I think that was what allowed me to create the mod content via the console. I dont know if thats important or not though.

Not sure, but I guess GotY is patched. If so, it might be Vista's UAC that causes it (if using Vista, of course):

Installing mods on a Windows Vista system is bit trickier than it is on Windows XP due to Vista's increased security.

For best results, it is recommended to install Oblivion to a location other than the default C:\Program Files\ folder. Another location such as C:\Oblivion\ or D:\games\Oblivion\ will work better. This will avoid the file permission problems many users have experienced due to the increased security restrictions Vista places on the Program Files folder.

ok im not sure but I may have got it to work, I don't know what i did but it seems that the new imperial battlemage barracks is there, however my next question would be that if anyone has played this mod before could they help me confirm its working? I checked dark fissure and that doesn't seem to have changed but Im wondering if that change occurs later (ie at the end of the mages guild questline). I assume since the new battle barracks is there that it must be working (its the door that goes underground and has a whole bunch of display cases full of weaponry right?) Thanks by the way to the posters above for responding to my problem by the way.
