Can my laptop run brink

Post » Fri Sep 03, 2010 12:34 am

Hey guys,

I'm planning on getting brink but I don't know which platform I want to get it for. I have an xbox 360 and a pc. I have been leaning towards pc because i will be going to college soon and will not have the xbox with me, but I am not sure if my laptop can run brink well. I know it has at least the minimum specs for it, but I want to be able to run it at high settings or at least something comparable with the xbox's graphics.

My laptop has a nvidia GT 540m and an intel core i7 2630qm.

I would appreciate any help!

Mines gonna be running on Geforce GT240M and a first gen Intel i7. I'll be able to run that on medium settings so you should be fine. realistically though if your gonna play online you might wanna have low settings to avoid lag anyways.

or that ^_^'
Then again though, I did just check with Mass Effect 2 and it said I didn't have the minimum specs for it.
Mass effect ran perfectly.

I already said that I know I can run it, I was just wondering if I could run it at higher settings. I have already used canyourunit, but I don't really trust that because it said that I couldn't run portal 2

I wouldn't say you'd be able to play Brink on max settings without sacrificing a lot of frames but you'll probably be able to play it somewhere around mid-high settings.

So would you recommend that I get it for pc?

I'm too poor for an xbox 360 or PS3 so, I'm not one to ask xD I prefer playing FPS games with a mouse and keyboard anyways ^_^

Pretty much any modern PC will be able to play it with some tweaked settings. I've preloaded with Steam on my laptop and should be able to run it somewhere between medium and high settings. If it is too laggy at high, turn off some detailing and it will run better. So yes, it will run, the real question is which quality will it be able to run at (low, medium or high).

If you have 4 gigs of RAM along with the gfx card and processor that you have, it should run pretty decently.
Just make sure you keep your laptop cool :)
