Son of Jagar Tharn

Post » Sat Sep 04, 2010 1:14 pm

Does anyone know what happened to the son of Jagar Tharn, or where he went?... I was reading the real berenziah and I couldn't find anything about what actually happened to his son, other then he was born in Wayrest. Could it be that the son of Tharn is going to come and be as evil as his dad? Or is it not really his son? I've heard mixed thoughts that

A - It was someone elses son
B - It was his son

I just want to be clear on this

Rumors point to it being Helseth. But just about anything can go. All we know is that the kid will mostly look Dumeri.

Bethesda asserts that they haven't forgotten about the kid, but even if he is elven

Also, conservation of plot-related babies: the child of a baddy that has since passed on, if he didn't grow up around that baddy, will turn out bad.

I always thought that he was the baby you kill to rid yourself of Lycanthropy.

Jagar Tharn's child (do we know it was a son?) can't have been Helseth, because Helseth was fifteen at the time, and IIRC Morgiah was eight.

Who said jagar tharn was evil? All he did was imprison a tyrannical emperor and tryed to liberated the nations of tamriel.I mean come on he was nice as to not even kill uriel 7.
Even Luke sky walker and Firion can't say that.

What! Uriel was the one to stop the warring that each race did to each other.... But I suppose thats just a opinion, so no one really knows.. Meh, I only classify him as evil because he seduced Berenziah, took the staff of chaos (come on don't tell me that isn't a evil name lol) and let morrowind go to rot when the rulers needed the empire.... or maybe you were just joking and what I said means squat lmao... So, some people say its NOT Prince Helseth, so then, who WOULD be the likely candidate for his son? I bet he's someone thats actually in one of the games, but possibly disguised as someone else.... Im not exactly sure who it would be, but I think we can scratch out Rufio as one of them. xD

I dunno maybe the count of cheydinhal is jarn's son.Did it say when his son was born?

Oh and by the way why did'nt jagar just kill uriel and why did'nt uriel die in the alternate realm.Maybe jagar was really protecting him from the mythic dawn?
Is their anything that clearly states his motives?

Well, this is the Elder Scrolls we're talking about here. There's no way Tharn's plans were totally black and white. It'd be nice if Bethesda could throw in some "lost" journals belonging to the J-man in the next game, so we could hear his side of the story.

Maybe we'll be lucky enough to get novelizations of the earlier games in the series. So at the very least we'll understand a bit more about what all occurred. Bethesda seems to be moving forward in time with each game. I doubt we'll see any Tharns from previous Eras in any upcoming games. But perhaps the Tharn family is still around?

yeah seriously I think thats a great idea...... A lot of things that happened in arena and daggerfall are somewhat unknown to the majority of the public today (maybe even morrowind?) since they have decided to make some books (well, A book) , maybe they will decide to make some more books of the present, past, and future events that happen; (although I think future books should only occur when a elder scrolls game is soon to be released) I really enjoyed the infernal city, even IF it sort of changed a load of well known knowledge, and I see no reason why they woulden't make more books (maybe we'll end up with as many books as star wars has lol) possibly to clear up some other things, like you know, HIGH ROCK, thats right, it DOES exist, everyone talks about Valenwood and Summerset isles, but no one gives a damn about high rock lmao.... But getting back onto subject, I think if they made a book from Tharns point of view on what he was doing, from possibly before he decided to take the staff of chaos, to the end when he is destroyed (assuming he really did die, which most do assume) it would be a good addition to the games lore.

Bethesda may novelize the events AROUND the books, but applying a name, race, or gender to the Hero of Daggerfall or the Nerevarine or the Eternal Champion is not their style.

oh of course, I didn't meens it like that! I was thinking not books of the characters you play in the games, but possibly characters that you don't play in the game? Or events that occur that isn't really talked about much other then a couple sentences or two.
