People here don't understand a thing about graphics
They could hire only one developer to make the water better, some shaders and tesselation. The game size is irrelevant, you could write HDR instructions just once and then you have it for the entire game, irrelevant if its 4h game or 200h, the HDR will be the same except for special occasions that are certainly prone to happen in a 200h game (skies changing after we get close to a oblivion gate)

And because we're saying the graphics could be better, we're not saying the game is a trash or it's not worth, hell no, people here are don't accept criticism at all, I know the game looks awesome in various aspects, almost all, but to dismiss any constructive criticism concerning anything, that is ridiculous.

People here never say it's bad about asking bethesda for werewolves, but I'm surely werewolves are much more time consuming to make than any of those graphics features i said earlier, it's visible that criticizing graphics is demonic here in this forum

You are assuming it's less than it could be. Are you working at Bethesda? Do you know how to make a game as big as Skyrim and still have it look "as it could be" in your eyes?

Why would you assume that Bethesda isn't doing everything they can to get Skyrim looking as great as it can without sacrificing any gameplay elements or performance?

I agree with you. Arguing with Yoshi will get no where though. Especially when it is graphics related. He always has a rebuttal no matter what. It's like pulling teeth.

Haha, I'm not saying that criticizing the graphics should never be done. There's always something that could be improved. All I'm saying is that we've barley seen anything and people are already saying the game's visuals will disappoint? How's that fair? You really think that Bethesda is going out of their way to make sure Skyrim isn't looking, preforming, AND playing as well as it possibly can with the time they are given?

Like I said, they've barley shown anything so it's just far too early to be making threads like this. What we've seen already looks vastly improved over Bethesda's last two games. The animations, the art style, the lighting, etc... looks great. Of course it could be better. It can always be better. When is it enough? If you aren't happy with the improvements we've already seen... then I' not sure you'd ever be satisfied with how a game looks visually.

Just wait until they actually show some real gameplay before calling it a disappointment in terms of visuals, people.

Considering we've only seen Skyrim on the 360, I'm pretty impressed. Todd also said they do a lot of their Graphics and optimising towards the end of development. Probably why we haven't seen any shots from the PC. So I'm going to hold out judgement on graphics until I pop it into my system in November. A lot can change from now until then. For me currently though, the biggest achievement that I've seen is the new draw distance. Simply stunning.

And for the record, if you're going to compare it to Crysis 2; do it from the console version. Crysis 2 looks A LOT better on the PC. Much like Bad Company 2 on PS3 vs PC. The pc version is like an all new game; it's fantastic. So please stop comparing apples to sausages.

Eight months before release. Knock it off.

Thank You!!!
When reading these topics its like,
PC IZ BETTR THAN REAL LIFES!!!1 GRAPHIX MUST BE REALZ!!!1!

And you're his Mom? Boyfriend? Sister?

You said "if Skyrim is lacking good graphics" well it's not. If what you saw in the trailer isn't at least "good" then there is a problem.

Beat me to the boyfriend joke, :( ^_^

guys so like this one time i saw a texture right and the way it blended into the texture next to it was a little unnatural and oh boy let me tell you it RUINED MY IMMERSION.

like i mean it my immersion was SHATTERED. shattered! i never got it back!

i promptly uninstalled the game and threw it in the garbage and i've vowed to boycott every future title from that developer until i get a handwritten apology.

I lol'd at this.
Love your posts.

it'll come the day children grow up and realize HEY, MAYBE IT'S OKAY FOR A GAME TO NOT LOOK LIKE REAL LIFE.

That'll be the day. Its like most of these people cant tell the difference between the game or real life.

I agree with you. Arguing with Yoshi will get no where though. Especially when it is graphics related. He always has a rebuttal no matter what. It's like pulling teeth.

I've tried also.
But,
I have a Dream,
where PC Elitists, PC Gamers, and Console Gamers,
Can live in Peace, And Thrive,
But First,
We must eradicate the first of the three. :stare:

Ok, this thread has dissolved into platform bashing, insulting one another and just general rudeness. It's time for closure. A new day dawns and perhaps today we can all discuss things we want in a respectful and mature manner.

At least we can try a bit harder. There is nothing wrong with wanting better graphics and there is nothing wrong with thinking the graphics look terrific. They could be better as everything can be better...nice goal....but it does look terrific. So...we are beating one another up over nothing.
