[WIPz] Immersive Interiors

Two things

1) Are you gonna make a Better Cities version ever in the future? If this was all ready discussed sorry. I've only read the first 2 pages.

2) did you make a mod like this for Shivering Isles a while back? I saw a video on youtube that did something like this to some windows in the castle. I can't remember what the video was called and can't find it.

This is not a problem with this mod, but rather with All Natural- unfortunately some of the windows look too transparent, and not "glassy" enough, i.e., Anvil's middle class. I heavily appreciate and thank Brumbek's work on translating all the windows to be transparent, but I wish some of the windows could have more of that glassy effect, therefore everything outside would look more natural and be in line with all the buildings with windows that do have a more glassy look.

Agreed if he can do that then I will get all natural no matter how bright the hdr is in interiors.

Well, if you let Brumbek know which windows you think are too transparent, he can take a look at them. Otherwise nothing is going to change.

Another minor graphical problem that's due to All Natural is that now there's something to see outside you can tell the window frames are 2d. Slightly immersion breaking, but not very.

However, this mod just gets better and better :celebration: . I just want you, WelshGuy, for fixing the only two problems that I could find with this mod: the minimap and lighting. Kudos for that, it's really nice when people listen to their critism and act on it :foodndrink: .

1) Compatibility patches will be made after the main mod is completed. However you can still use the normal version without any ill effects :)

2) See wrinklyninja's response below.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's really appreciated and it makes my day to see people enjoying and using the mod :D

That's All Natural - Brumbek's done the SI Palace meshes, and since everything was really close together and part of the same building, he added all the plants and other stuff so you could see them outside, much like what this does. It's the only place that was treated like that, but it does look pretty neat, just like this mod.

Loving this mod, and wanted to pass on my gratitude. I had All Natural installed before as I really wanted to feel indoors and a part of the world I had come indoors from, this mod is like a dream come true, and goes to show imagination and thought go hand in hand. A part of me wishes for developers of games to think about things like this, another part (having been an addon author for another game) is glad they don't, it's in the true essence of a person that not only ideas, but solutions and vision come, and for that I marvel and feel part of something special, the want to develop!!. However SomeWelshGuy, your doing, and have done something here, that will in my opinion, be one of those mods that add something to the game, that either the immersive (like me) or arcade style player will feel that is invaluable.

(A gif of a very respectful person bowing)

Since your latest update and the inclusion of Lights Addon.esp, I have noticed the effect of light sources increase, whether they be outside or indoors. As BOSS as of yet doesn't recognize this mod (or at least I hope at time of posting doesn't) I have placed it very low down loading order, almost above Bash patch. The effects have added for me, a sense of real light effecting my game world, more than did before. And personally I love it, books are displaying shadows and light, from a fire inside the building. I notice no noticeable FPS drop, I don't know whether it is just me, but outside aswell I have noticed light sources being more influential. As I run BetterCities mod also (and yes I'm patient to wait for any patches you feel inclined to produce) the violet light produced upon battle mages and myself near the entrance are more stark. Can you tell me, is it just me, or is your mod doing something to all light sources? (if it is, please don't change it, loving it). It may of course be in something I've done wrong and turned out right, hehe :)

This looks bloody fantastic. The windows have always been one of my main problems with the engine. AN really help, but this is taking it to a whole new level. Will be sure to include this one the next time I fire up Oblivion. Keep up the great work!

Thanks a lot for your kind words everyone :D

@Glimiril: Cheers :) The mod shouldn't make the exterior lights brighter, however All Natural's Real Lights plugin might give you that effect. The lights from within the interiors are a bit brighter than they are in vanilla oblivion exteriors just to make them a bit more noticeable when you're looking through the glass :)

Please note that All Natural is REQUIRED for this mod to function.
If you don't have it installed then you will CTD. Please don't post saying that the mod crashes your game if you haven't installed All Natural before hand.

Ahh, the joys of requiring an even bigger, bolder notice at the top of the description. Does TESNexus have a flashing, force-read option I wonder?

On a slightly less idiotic note, I'm starting work on Chorrol :)

And my vote is there as well! :D

Really, the visual "bridge" between interior and exterior cells is simply astonishing. It's such a huge improvement. Big thanks to All Natural, those who helped you, and you, SomeWelshGuy! :celebration:

I just tried with Sounds of Cyrodiil. Very cool. I haven't released it yet, but I will post a video as soon as I can showing the great benefits Immersive Interiors + All Natural + Sounds of Cyrodiil gives.

Off to add my File of the month vote as well.

But this above: it's the bane of us all isn't it? I only have two mods up, only one of which has a requirement like this, and get it all the time as well.

Same. It's well in the lead at the moment. I've also endorsed it, so you guys should do the same. Truly awesome, that's what this mod is.

Just realised I will need to add this to my Environment Mod List, which will shortly need a small update anyway. :)
