In the concept art pic of the player wielding a longsword and a staff heading towards a bear...the bear seems to be eating a dead wooly mammoth. Never noticed it til' now...(******* AMAZING!!!!!!!)

Well, eating it is a bit of speculation, as the bear is just raised up behind it, as if saying "back off this kill is mine" type of deal.
Animals get protective in real life about their kill/food.

Yes and the Nord's feet are planted deep in the snow. Just because it's drawn in concept art doesn't mean it'll be in the game like that.

I can see what might be a mammoth, but I'm not sure where you get 'eating' from...

It looks like the bear is standing there roaring and generally 'looking hard' :shrug:

(Admittedly, some of us [cough cough] thought the protruding tusk was some sort of tentacle initially...)

And a horn too. The "club" is actually the scabbard for his sword, I think.

I think the "visible gear" thing is something that'll translate over to the game itself, judging by the gameplay trailer. I sure hope characters can carry shields on their backs.

Well like the Fearless Hero said, it has been mistaken alot for a tentacle. Which is what I initially thought it was. Excuse me for not knowing this has been discussed "loads"

Yea we dissected this concept art well over a month ago. Info has dried up quick hasn't it?
