Imperial Library

Post » Fri Jun 25, 2010 7:01 am

I have been replaying all of the old elderscrolls games while I wait for news of the 5th game to come out and I have realized that there are several information/notes/or books that the Imperial Library does not have on file. Noteing this I believe that it would be good to dedicate a thread to the collection of this knowledge even if the knowledge is insignificant. here is the list of things I have found not to be on the imperial library. I have grouped some to shorten the list.

1.)Letter from a dremora (battlespire) - i ran across one letter that wasn't on the Imperial Library. of course the reason being is that the letter is only able to be seen on the multiplayer version of the level of Shades Periolous.(sp) if you wish I could post the contents

2.)Mehrunes razor plugin letter - this letter is not found in game but is found out of game and also in the official strategy guide I have failed to locate it on the imperial Library

3.)Orrery plugin letter - again the same as above yet this one is not found in the game guide.

4.)actual decodation of coded message to caius cosades - not so long ago sometime either last year or the year before somebody provided an actual decodation of the coded message and posted it on the forums I have failed to locate the same on the Imperial Library.

5.)sermon 29 explination - The secret message in sermon 29 I have failed to find but yet I don't even know if yall know about it since I discoverd this one on my own. yet the secret message is also in the trial of vivec If you want I can provide My findings.

6.)morrowind letters - lots aren't on the library They may not be significant but they are worth noteing

8.)several daggerfall letters - some of the letters you recieve in the main quest of daggerfall aren't located on the story page or anywhere else yet these pages are supose to write down all of the important dialouge and information from the games storyline.

I do not mean to decredit the Imperial Library I just strive to find the information for one reason or another it missed I'm sorry if I offend the Libraryians I do not mean to the library is and always will be the best lore website dedicated to the elder scrolls. do what you will with this information and add onto it if you want. If the information is already on the library I appoligise and please correct me

If you want, you can make a topic on their forums http://www.imperial-library.info/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl and tell them about it.

The Dremora letters gone?!

Seriously though TIL suffers from the same liabilites that hamper websites, mostly space constraints...chances are that stuff is there somewhere or in a PDF format hidden among the dark recesses...some times you have to make space for the new by removing/reorganizing the old...

Do you seriously think after 6 years no one else has found this??? This IS also at the Imperial Library. Not finding the texts does not equal their nonexistence.

Don't apologize; there's no need. It's just at this point in time, the secret message is pretty common knowledge by now. It HAS been about 6 years since the game first came out. It's even in the http://www.imperial-library.info/mwbooks/lessons_preface.shtml at the Imperial Library.

Easy folks. All but #5 are indeed absent from the Library.

#1 Could you send that letter to me? I don't have Battlespires gamefiles around atm.

#4 Has been on the todo list for a while.

#6 Allot of insignificant ones are indeed missing because they are indeed insignificant. The spell scrolls aren't included either as most of them are nonsense.

I can't comment on #8, but could you specify which letters those are?

Nah. The great advantage of TIL is that it's build on tech from the year zero, it runs on any rust bucket in a cupboard. Hardware isn't an issue. Unfortunately for the same reason it doesn't scale and so the main limitation is peopletime. Something most of us are very short on.

I have spent the past few days regoing over battlespire and have found that the letter I found from a dremora was not unique but there are several of them but they only appear in multiplayer mode to give the story to the players without dialouge so I doubt that they can be considered proper lore. On a side note my research has come up with one very interesting document that appears in single player you didn't have laying around It was found on the havok wellhead level I give you

THE RESTRICTED LIST OF NOBLE ARTIFACTS

It is fitting that only persons of noble birth take glory in the refined enchantments of these devices, and not that peasants, or rabble, or animals, or merchants take nor touch them, that they might take harm thereby, being coarsened and vulgarized by such ill-use.

The BattleAxe of Noble Red Wisdom bears enchantments enhancing the skills of DESTRUCTION, and casts the spell of Teleport. The BattleAxe of Noble Swiftblade bears enchantments enhancing the skills of SHORTBLADE, and casts the spell of Jumping. The Broadsword of Noble Leaping grants benefits in the disciplines of JUMPING, and, when striking a target, casts the spell of Jumping. The Broadsword of Noble Unseen Wisdom grants benefits in the disciplines of THAUMATURGY, and, when striking a target, casts the spell of medium Cure Health. The Claymore of Noble Fleetness affords some abilities in the arts of RUNNING, and casts the spell of Running. The Claymore of Noble Unknown Wisdom affords some abilities in the art of MYSTICISM, and casts the spell of Major Cure Health. The CrossBow of Noble Sureflight affords some abilities in the arts of MISSILE, and casts the spell of Medium Shield. The Dagger of Noble Stalking grants benefits in the disciplines of STEALTH, and, when striking a target, casts the spell of Minor Cure Health. The Dagger of Noble Green Wisdom grants benefits in the disciplines of RESTORATION, and, when striking a target, casts the spell of Minor Shield. The Javelin of the Noble Dolphin bears enchantments enhancing the skills of SWIMMING, and casts the spell of Medium Cure Health. The LongBow of Noble Smiting grants benefits in the disciplines of BLUNTWEAPON, and, when striking a target, casts the spell of Medium Shield. The Longsword of Noble Surprise bears enchantments enhancing the skills of BACKSTABBING, and casts the spell of Major Cure Health. The Longsword of Noble Golden Wisdom bears enchantments enhancing the skills of ALTERATION, and casts the spell of Minor Cure Health. The Mace of the Noble Horny Fist affords some abilities in the art of HANDTOHAND, and casts the spell of teleport. The Short Sword of the Noble Swimmer affords some abilities in the arts of SWIMMING, and casts the spell of Medium Cure Health. The Short Sword of Noble Silver Wisdom affords some abilities in the arts of ILLUSION, and casts the spell of Medium Shield. The ShortBow of Noble Deep Biting bears enchantments enhancing the skills of AXE, and casts the spell of Minor Shield. The WarAxe of Noble Hewing grants benefits in the disciplines of LONGBLADE, and, when striking a target, casts the spell of Running.

on the matter of the daggerfall letters most where insignificant and probably not worth the time putting them into the story section I mentioned them for completeness sake like the morrowind letters. but one was part of a quest in the main quest that was left out of your story page here it is...again sorry if it is there and I didn't see it.

I find it hard to make sense of some of the librarys articles because they haven't been written out properly and have loads of spelling and grammatical errors and sentences that don't mean anything.

Like this:
After the event, the armor pieces were scattered, and only the cuirass that can be found nowadays.

And this:
They are powerful and usually use magical spell on their arsenal.

I'm sorry to say that not all of the Librarians speak and write English as well as you or I do. I find it difficult to believe you cannot figure out an article's meaning because of a few grammatical mistakes.
