Is there a list of safe containers? I cannot seem to find one on the Fallout wiki. Are the container's in the suite Mr.House gives you safe?

All the containers in the suite are safe EXCEPT the Crafting Boxes (but those are optional add-ons, so it's best to just not waste the caps on them) and I am pretty sure that is a bug; you put stuff in and if you leave the room and come back, the stuff is gone.

All the containers in every suite you are comped are safe, as well as the containers in every safe house you're given access too and the hotel room at Novac.

The crafting containers were perfectly safe for me. I put everything that wasn't a weapon or food in there for 20 hours.

Even a lot of places that may not be designated "safe" are still effectively safe to use because they aren't encountered by anybody who would take stuff from them. I've been keeping stuff in the Doc's closet since day one, and he has yet to try on any of my sixy Sleepwear.

I hope that is true. I was about to make a bunch of weapon repair kits with all of those wrenches.

I just stick everything in a footlocker in a Goodsprings house that doesn't appear to be used (or used much) by an NPC. If Fallout 3 containers didn't respawn so I was banking on them not doing so in this game.

IIRC, a container that respawns is not one you can put things into to begin with. Also, the Vendor containers which may or may not be used for Shop Inventory in this game is usually hidden in the cell so you can't get to it.

The only containers I would avoid are the ones owned by someone else. What can happen is ownership can get transfered so you get nailed for stealing your own stuff.

It might just be container number 1 and not number 2. I've only used #1 and every time I've put something in it, left the suite and re-entered, evn if immediately, it would be empty again. So I am not going to trust anything in #2, either. But maybe I will just find an empty bottle to place in there to see what happens.
