Crash when outside

Recently set up a new computer and added a whole host of mods; Its been running fine these past few days but I added a few mods this morning and ever since whenever I take about 30 steps on any character (made a couple new ones to test) the game CTDs. I said 'outside' in the title but I'm beginning to think its the Cyrodiil worldspace; I can run around all I want within interior cells and the Imperial City (with it being a different worldspace with BC) but 'outside' proper and anywhere within a city in the Cyrodiil worldspace its always the same, although I can fast travel anywhere I want as long as I don't move more than about 15 feet from the fast travel marker... With weOCPS (which I initially added to try and stop the crashing), instead of a crash I would get two warning bleeps and then all my menu and activate functions world stop working - I could swing my sword, but I couldn't loot corpses, talk to anyone or open the main menu. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can normally fix these things myself but the nature of this one has me completely stumped.

The mods that I added when it started crashing have been Lynge's Stories from the Sea, West Roads, Unique Clothes for Integration, Stealth Overhaul, Ambient Sound FX, Killtastic and the new Gray Fox Gear; none of them seemed likely to be the culprit. I've tried deactivating them all and rebuiling my bashed patch, but still no luck. Like I said if anyone can shed any light I'd be very grateful.

I hate to bump my own thread but can anyone shed any light at all on the issue? I'm still unable to fix it and I'd love to know if anyone has seen anything like it before...

That's alot of mods, my last one is A9 :D Just a guess, but Oblivion tends to crash when it reaches 1.8 GB used memory, in other words it runs out of memory it can use. Interior cells are smaller, so you may be able to play them because of it.

I was able to avoid this propblem by applying the 4gb patch which expands the memory space Oblivion can use, of course this doesn't help if you don't have 4GB of RAM and are not running a 64bit OS. If this is indeed the bug you're getting, lowering settings and resolution should give you more time before the crash.

No it's nothing like that, I've got Windows 7 64bit with LAA enabled (at most Oblivion uses about 30% of my available RAM) and like I said the weird thing is that it used to run fine, I had 3h+ crash-free sessions, but now its 30 paces and instant-cd. Its odd, because its actually a 30 pace radius - I can run around all I want as long as I don't stray too far from where I entered the outdoor cell (either through a gate or fast travel marker). Its frustrating because I can't see what would be causing it.
