Pretty neat if you ask me. Hopefully this takes on in the West as well, as I'd totally buy certain games a second time to play on my PS3.

Please please please please please please let that include the Dissidia games. I hate the prospect of having to buy a PSP to play those on a small screen.

I sure hope SEGA will join the PSP Remaster Series with Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3!

Times like this I wish I had a PS3. MGS: Peace Walker would be amazing on the big screen.

Monster Hunter... back home on a home console? *tears of joy* OH MY GOD! I want... so many fun hours. Slaying dragons, drinking beer, and chatting it up with fellow hunters. Got so good we raced to see who could kill a Diablos first in the four horns quest. (I lost by like 1 minute damnit ). I was even in a clan then, the House of Cards. I was the Jack of Hearts or was it Diamonds? I know it was one of the red suits. Anyways if this occurs I'm getting a PS3, no questions asked.

The more I think about it, the more I'm warming up to this idea. It's no secret that many once prominent Japanese developers are struggling with rising development costs associated with home consoles, so this may allow financially conscious developers a bit of extra breathing room. Now they can develop for the lower cost PSP while also tapping into the PS3's audience.

I imagine this concept would have worked better had it been straight PSP emulation, rather than full "HD" re-releases, but the costs of reworking PSP titles is still probably significantly less than developing even a budget PS3 game from the ground up.

I wonder, are they updated to work with two anolog sticks?

The small screen really isn't much of an issue, especially since the graphics are usually sub-PS2 quality (end-era, e.g. GoW1 & 2) to begin with. You can also buy the component cable to hook it up to your TV.

EDIT: I hope they lower the cost of the PSP dev kit, what with the NGP coming out. PSP is such a crummy platform: the library is so small, and there are, like, only one or two retail games released each month. <_< That said, I have found a number of games I enjoy, and about 4 or 5 I intend to purchase once their prices come down. I'm just glad I only paid $50 for my PSP, and not full price.

If they get Birth By Sleep on there, I'm totally getting a PS3.

Ooooooo that would great, maybe rerelease some of the psp FPS like Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Socom: Fireteam Bravo and the combat flight-sim Acecombat X.

I really hope they release Daxter like this. I also really hope they port Jak & Daxter like they SHOULD HAVE THREE YEARS AGO. <_<

I really hope they put God's Eater Burst on the PS3. That game could use dual anolog sticks.

I really need that Monster Hunter Portable 3. When I say I've been upset for years that Monster Hunter hasn't gotten any love in the States except for on the PSP and then finally the Wii (still bitter about that one..), I really mean it. That one of the Portable games is being released proper on the PS3 is the most exciting news!
