Infurnal City: How to stop it! :D

In oblivion, Before you start the quest for Clavicus Vile, Become Sheogorath, Start the quest and keep the sword for your'self and hide it in you're realm. (Like in a dungen somewheres) And Tamriel is safe from the floaty island! Nobody dares mess with Sheogorath, even daedra lords! He whoops @ss.

Unfortunately, time seems to fork a bunch of times whenever an 'Unknown Hero' crops up and then neatly comes back together. Some people claim that the hero was a great mage, head of the Mage's guild, while others claim that she was a master thief, head of the Thieves guild. Imagine the confusion and the tavern arguments!

Unfortunately for them and for you, the answer is they're both right. And to think that many a drunken brawl could be settled with such a simple little idea. Yes, you're right that the hero probably did keep Umbra safe. But he (or was it she) also gave it to Clavicus Vile. But here's the kicker, we're 90% certain that there is only one Umbra.

Honestly now, Akatosh really needs to get better at keeping Time linear.

P.S. Is there much point to this thread?

@Mehrunes Dagon

Just want to let you know, you are one of the most mis-understood lords of all, so I highly respect you. And yes, this thread has a point, because its a loop-hole. Umbra may be part of Clavicus Vile but if Sheogorath toke his hands on it (in this case the player) then "The Infurnal City" would neaver have happened but the part about morrowind being distroyed still would, also, in game, once the player becomes Sheogorath, transportaion back to Mundus should be impossible!

@I am the walrus!

Mehrunes Dagon is not the lord of destrustion, but change! It is simple fact that in order from positive change to happen, something destructive has to come of it! Its how we evolve!
And revolotion! Thats is his only known spheres! Their is so much about the daedra that we don't know!

I'm pretty sure he's lord of destruction, man. And no, you see, change can happen without destruction. It's called evolution. You fail at basic philosophy.
