Pricing Issues

I preordered from steam for US $49.95 (luckily). Price just jacked up to US $89.95. Is this the price everywhere now? or just Australia as I expect. Australian dollar is nearly the same as the US. As it is purchased overseas there is no GST and it is digitally distributed. The boxed copy would be cheaper. Just set one price worldwide for a single currency and be done with it.

There's already a thread in the Community Discussion for the autrocious Australian Steam pricing set http://http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1118103-steam-pricing/page__hl__Steam%20Australia so it might be worth chipping in there.

thanks - like I said I was lucky - but it near doubled in price for no reason. Its like they noticed the original price was a mistake and changed it.
