They need to make being a thief actually worth something .

How about having items that are enchanted, but also that normal folk would actually use around their house? "Eldritch Broom of the Winds", "Morgon's Calipers of Great Precision", "Cabbage of Divine Justice", that sort of thing?

That would be amazingly useless! :) Much like regular calipers ;)

I still vote for no loot scaling at all. At all. Why would anyone want this? How awesome isn't it to be level 1 and accidentally finding a huge massive weapon? That's how it should be, that's how it WOULD be in real life.

this was also one of the major aspects that made Morrowind so amazing

I made a specific skull in one of my Oblivion characters game worth 1000000000000000 gold.

However you were being facetious if so can you make a chamber pot of holding.

While there were more to steal in Morrowind it had one problem that Oblivion solved. It was too easy. In Morrowind nearly none of the NPCs moved around and you could easily find empty rooms full of treasure. You only needed to close the door and your only problem would be locked chests.

But yes, I would be happy if there would be more noble castles full of shiny stuff.

I'm fine with normal houses having terrible loot for the most part...there should just be a tiered system for houses, manors, castles, etc. If you break into the house of one of the richest families in skyrim, there are guards posted all over, and you have to have a high sneak skill, and the system can't just easily be gamed by using invisibilty, then the loot inside should be worth all of that effort. I'd just like to see much less randomly generated loot in general. The loot system in MW was really perfect IMO. There was really a very small amount of great gear in the world, and that made it so that when you found a piece of it, you would just be ecstatic, and maybe even wear it until the end of the game. Some stuff, like having full glass/daedric armor freely stealable from the start, did not make sense. Having just one piece of glass armor or one piece of daedric in a specific spot would've been just right.

Hopefully they create WAAAAY more unique items that have a small chance to pop-up in random chests and containers, and maybe some odd dude may be carrying it. Similiar to all the unique BoE items of WoW.

All those items were very rare world drops that you could either sell for good profit, or you could keep them for the vanity.

I just hope they give meaning to Invisible Potions or Items or Chameleon things, because what is the point of them when everyone is looking right at you.

The one thing that would be nice is when you are pick-pocketing that you can see the NPC's entire drop inventory if he/she were killed. I find in a lot of games there are either restrictions or extra drop items appear if they are killed.

If an NPC has a special item which the DEV does not want the player to steal easily than their pick-pocketing awareness should be through the roof. This would force a confrontation; at which point I would wip out some dragon tongue and desintegrate that svcka.
