What is going to be your play style?

Post » Tue Jul 20, 2010 7:44 am

Title says it all baby.

As i am best with this, im going to do a lone wolf style that also help my team. I plan on playing as a light soldier and using my speed as my advantage. First, i get ahead of my team, sort of as a scout. alert the engineers of any incoming enemy's, make just the medics are prepped, etc etc. The i use my speed along with my main weapon and fire grenades(i dont know how to spell the word that they actually are T.T) to take out an medics while distracting the enemy team. during this time my team catches up, unnoticed i might add, and finishes off the enemy. if im not dead, i get revived and the cycle repeats it self.

so ill be like a saboteur against medic, while my team is the final blow. should work out nicely.

Sorry, i forgot about the objective. *facepalm* when it comes to those, i wont try to capture as muc as i will try to defend/warn the people ho are capturing them. more like back up.

and to the guy who said my theoretical situation will never happen most not know the meaning of team based game play. if your gonna play as a team, you naturally want the soldiers and medics to stick together, right? well, if you take out the medics before your team get to the soldiers, its like picking off flys.

I like to lone wolf it also to be honest. I usually play covert op in Wolfenstein ET but I use my abilities to my team's advantage. So I will probably play a light Operative and scout out behind enemy lines and capture command posts, etc.

My aim is pretty good so I could also get behind enemy lines and then pick them off as they assault the objective

What about the objectives not so much a team player but at least your honest. Im going to play as a medium build medic heal and buff my team mates and not play the frontline fighter but also helping the team mates complete the objectives that there class only can complete. I will be involved in combat but I plan on trying to not be in direct combat and play the healing medic when my team mates are down but will kill if a half to

Rushing heavy medic tank. Backbone of the front lines. I keep my team standing when the two teams collide.

I love your narration style of some theoretical situation that will probably never happen in an actual game.

I'm going to play, and I'm going to own.

I have two ways of playing my engibeer class. Both are defensively. The first, I plan on using the EZnade with an assault rifle. This is where I can set up shop near the main objective or main traffic areas and take down people coming in my path. I'll also have my turret defending any command posts along the way.

The second is fairy similar considering the defense play. But this is a little more offense than the last one. I plan on using the Mossington shotty and the Barnett rifle to flank enemies and take out other enemies unnoticed. Being a medium I'll try to get high up since I'm a medium and place turrets to harass the enemy while I flank them

When I play Operative I plan on being more of a scout than anything, equipped with comms hack, Homing beacon and sticky bombs or smoke grenade. This is going to be my basic scout class, I will be disguised and spotting enemies, operatives, and using voice chat to tell my team of the enemy locations.

I'm going to play as a light medic, and hang out near conflicts, but not in the middle, and when somebody needs me,

I'll go all ninja medic, drop down, revive them and use my speed to escape the conflict.

I may also devote some skill points into Operative so I can be "that guy" who flanks the enemy and sets off an objective, drawing them back so my team can advance,

again, using my ninja-ness.

EDIT: I'm still not sure whether or not to use two pistols, or a pistol and an SMG, depends on what the trade off for style vs. effectiveness is, I suppose.

Camping objectives. Turrets mines and myself protecting the objective.

I'll have the heavy body build and be carrying the Chinzor with muzzle brake, foregrip, and reflex sight.

My secondary will be the mossington shotgun.

A turret strategy that I already have in mind will consist of mines and a turret.

1 turret will be on the left side of the door, hiding from sight. A mine will be on the right side also hiding from sight. (So it can not be detected by operatives)

An individual walks through the door, turret starts firing from the left. The guy faces the turret and backs up into the mine.

BOOM!!!

I'm your last line of defense.

Playing Medic aggressively. Buffing the rushers, sticking to front lines but keeping my distance from directly close quarters. If nobody's pushing and we're getting hit hard, I won't hesitate to lead a flank.

I'll be using a Rokstedi/COGA for close-range marksman-like play, with a Bulpdaun SMG for if I need a more spray-safe weapon in CQC.

Character 1
Light - Operative with Long Rifle + smg / pistol. Will obviously buff everyone I can whenever I can.

Plan A: I'm going to soften up the enemies with my rifle, try and get to higher ground and spot any mines and such, mark some key enemies with the Homing Beacon and so on. Then try to flank them, maybe while stealing an disguise and try and sneak hack some objectives or attack them from the rear.

Plan B: If Long Rifles prove to be ineffective in my hands, I will go with smg + pistol and be the close quarters light guy.

Character 2
Light - Medic with Assault Rifle / Shotgun or something like that.

Will be the full on medic, directing all of my attention to picking up the wounded, reviving people and just basically making sure that my team gets the most out of my abilities, laying some waste on the side with my accuracy. -_\\

i'm going to be a medium, so that i can take hits and move around equally. i will use the Gerund and Bulpdaun. I will usually play as a Soldier, going toe to toe with others, trading lead and making use of molotovs and frags while suppling my team. I will however fill in any vital role that comes up.

i might decide to go light with Bulpdaun and Kalt, depending on how the Light plays.

Lights can only equip one light weapon, and a secondary (pistol/MP/revolver).
  • Long Rifles and SMGs are light weapons
  • Assault Rifles and Shotguns are medium weapons

I can't shoot very well in most FPS games due to my crooked hands. So I will be playing as medic or a engineer, filling all the 'boring' support rolls most people don't enjoy doing.

Coincidentally I am looking for a group of players who may need a player like me, PM me if you want to play :)

I'm going to try light and rely on superior movement, tactics, and accuracy to beat my opponents. The classes I use just depend on the situation in the map. I'll always focus on buffing my teammates and completing the objectives or clearing room for someone else to do them.

If i am not the only type of my class on the same team then as an operative my goal will be disguise and comms hack and hacking turrets everything to make the battle a little easier for my team. as a soldier i will focus on the front lines and attacking the enemies straight on and being around teammates so i can refill their ammo. When being a medic i will try and buff health and revive and folow operatives till they are succsesfully disguised(i may only help those with a mic cause i may go into a death trap) as an engineer i will focus on defending and putting pressure on choke points via turrets. when i am the only class or the other person is afk or svcks then my first priority will be objectives and when i can i will help me teammates

You know my sarge once said to me " Boy it's all well and good to have a plan until you get hit!" and sadly there are so many cracks in your plan you won't know were you got hit from. That also goes for everyone els that thinks they "HAS a PLAN"

I plan my main/first character to be Operative/Medic.

I'll be Light once that option is available.

As Operative, I won't be lone-wolfing, I'll be using Disguise to stay close to the enemy without raising suspicion, then switch to offense just before my teammates round the corner - I won't be aiming to kill the enemy team alone, I won't be going for "backstabs" or "quick kills" - I'll be there for the specific purpose of causing as much confusion as possible so the enemy is off-guard when the real attack arrives.

As a Medic, I'll be speed-healing - rushing from one firefight to the next, patching up anyone who needs it, then moving on. Ideally, I'll be taking very little fire, but doing minimal damage to the enemy, and only drawing fire when a teammate needs time to recover after being given a revive syringe - if they've got a lunatic rushing about shooting them, most players will worry about him before finishing off the incapped guy behind (especially if they didn't notice me handing him a syringe)
