Rowboats

Post » Sun Jul 25, 2010 2:05 pm

In Oblivion there are several rowboats lying around lakes. However we can`t row them. Can`t remember if there are rowboats in Morrowind at the moment. I think there would be great to be able to use rowboats and row around the lakes, for fun, or for fishing. So what do you think?

I'm working on a script in Morrowind (but it'll be 100000000 of letters long) which makes boats workable... but the entire process is quite buggy and requirres tons of anims... also another thing for this mod is that I'm also going to allow you to force slaves into working on your boat...

would be nice to just get into your boat at the top of a river and slowly let the current take you down stream (possibly while shooting people with your bow just for the heck of it) .. then realising im sure i've seen this place.. ohhhhh [censored] .. waterfall

I would say yes, the more RPG choices the better.

Yes I would want to be able to row boats. I hate crossing water, unless I have a magic power of walking on it. If there were usable rowboats, that would make it so much more awesome.

The only TES game with actual working rowboats was Arena, and while it was mainly useful in one or two places it could've been useful in later games.

I don't know how useful would it be here though, I don't think there are going to be a lot of rivers or ponds in Skyrim. There is a big sea up north but I'd rather sail there on a frigate.

This could be said about any feature. The question is not if is neccessary but if it would be interesting. I would like this option and of course the option to sail actual ships.

My kitty-khajiit is scared of water. =(

No, boats would be a great idea, since i'm not gonna be using oblivion-styled Fast Travel.

Absolutely; ever since that Bravil quest that takes you to that fortress island via boat (but only by clicking on it) I've wanted to row a damn boat :D

"That's a bad water texture."

I wouldn't mind Ferrymen working at one or two of those freezing, gushing rivers.
