Housing Decoration Request

Post » Tue Jul 27, 2010 2:31 am

Would anyone be interested in having the ability to purchase armor racks for your home so you can display full sets of armor in an awesome way? As in you'd buy dummies or mannequins and equip them with armor. They could also put in sword racks and shelving specifically designed to hold different kinds of weaponry. Would anyone else be interested in additions like this?

Yes. All of this + make them movable = Great Idea. There was a mannequin mod for Oblivion that did this and the coolest thing about them was that you could make them take a bunch of awesome poses.

Definitely. And a bookcase that you can actually put your books on would be wonderful. The Skingrad house in OB definitely had a poltergeist.

it was cool how you could hang the crusaders armor up in kotn. if this is what op is talking about, totally agree. i wish we had more control over our lairs/homes. defines a lot about your character

i love this idea!!! i hate how in oblivion ill try to set up some books on a bookshelf but then they will all fall down. or weapons on a weapons stand. They should be like a thing you click then you put the thing you want in there then boom there it is.

Yes indeed that would be awesome. There was an oblivion mod that had a furniture store where you could purchase just about every piece of furniture in Oblivion. You could also place those pieces of furniture freely and even lock them in place so you didn't have to worry about bumping one and having to rearrange it all over again. It would be awesome if Bethesda did something like that for Skyrim.

A great idea, especially the part about stands for armour. Weapon racks would be a nice touch, but I always found interesting ways to display my weapons anyway so it wouldn't matter to me. To be able to set up a full set of armour though, would be a wonderful addition.

how about containers that are item specific, ie, you cant store 100 swords in a chest, instead you would need to buy an extended weapon rack that housed your swords, the house comes with a basic sized rack which would be replaced if you buy the extended one...

also approach a clothes cupboard and you open the doors (much like "non-loading" doors in oblivion) you are then presented with your clothes on hangers, again a limited amount of space unless you buy the upgrade

opening containers should not bring up a list, they should just show you the items (remember that the items have to rendered anyway for the new menu system)
