(WIPZ)Frostcrag Reborn 3.1

Post » Fri Jul 30, 2010 2:05 am

OMFG so I finally got through the VERY long VERY hard winding stairs and finally opened up all the tower. This place if freaking awesome. Trying to get to the bottom was ridiculous though. I was gonna go crazy if I had to fight any more.

Try "reading" a note left by an old friend in the Living Quarters.

OK so I've read every piece of paper and every book in the whole tower I checked every drawer and chest and can't find any key or anything telling me how to open the door at the bottom of the long dark spiral stars. The only key I found awhile ago was the one that opened up the deepness. But i can't find the key that opens the door at the bottom. I even check the walkthrough on the Frostcrag Reborn website and it doesn't tell me where to find the key. Only the first key.

@Tatts4Life

Check the library, once you have gained access to it.

Thanks for the help. I kept thinking it was in the student area not the main section. Now onto the quest. I might put it off till I have some more powerful weapons.

WOW Finally completed the secondary quests. This mod is HUGE. I loved it. I'll recommend it to anybody who asks for a Frostcrag mod. There was only one thing that pissed me off while playing. spoiler for those who haven't played but plan to.
Spoiler
I'm playing the mod early in this play through and right now I'm trying not to be a vampire. Well I saw a few people that said they were vampires and was able to kill them without being bit. Well When i got into Avalon none of the people were labeled as vampires. So when i finally finished the quest and was able to return home to rest and level up I got a notice saying I was a vampire now. So I reload and check my active effects and it doesn't say anything about catching the disease. I was hoping to go through the quest and not turn into a vampire.

It says, both under version at the top, and in the description, that it is Vesrion 3.0.6

It has a lot of little things that can be improved.
1) The dependence screws official plugin. One side loses a slof but by naming esp Frostcrag Reborn.esp users Ayleids The Steps will make the difference between vanilla and reborn version and does not have an empty esp named "Frostcrag Reborn". After'll probably make a small change in the patch for compatibility with the unique landscape - snowdale.
2) A nice bsa: Installing and uninstalling a lot faster, only cares weapons ayleids do not like this format (I tried to make a bsa and I have beautiful yellow losanges). The only solution was to not put resources into the arms bsa or install another mod (OOO, Blood & Mud, Cobl)
3) Coble: Since Cobl is very useful for alchemists, the tower should be dependent on base Cobl.esm which allows more weapons have ayleids while maintaining a bsa for the mod. :whistling:
4) It is much too powerful at the end of the mod, even if the challenge is hard enough.
5) Some small bugs to fix (the skeletons are dead standing example in long tunnels).

Oh I would love if an update would make use of the student area, to make it a branch of the Mages Guild like mentioned in the first post.

I feel like this is the only thing that is missing from this awesome mod. It still feel lonely even with my companions there.

The underworld journey was awful. Being in the dark with the blue effect of Night Eye on all the time just removes any sort of atmosphere you might have been trying to make. The city needs lighting, some illumination on the villages (glowing mushrooms, perhaps). It all looked to drab and boring, despite its awesome scale.
