so i've been playing this game for a long time, 3 files with like 65 hrs on them and now another one with 30, haven't encountered anything that has prevented me from playing until now. it seems on this file, any time i approach the California Sunset Drive In my game completely freezes. i loaded another game where i had that location discovered, and it was fine, i could come and go and there were no problems. then i loaded my current file and once again, always at the same place, it freezes. anybody have any idea what this could be? problem with the disc or some kind of bug?

still nothing? by now i've installed the game to my hd (freeze still happens at the same spot on that file) and i even started a new guy and ran him right down to the spot to see if it froze for him, but it was fine. so by now i'm assuming it's a bug. anybody else have lockups in that location?

I think the scriptings causes the issue (doing different quests in different orders). I had a bug in Fallout 3 when I came near Tenpenny Tower between level 12 - 16. Early or later levels it was fine. New Vegas I think is worse cause so many areas have overlapping quests.
