everytime i try to enter a building, any building in new vegas, it does its usual loading screen followed with a black screen of frozen doom. the irony of this is that it must have happened due to playing it for hours and hours because i loved it some much. i am currently thinking of returning the game. because of this issue, it is no longer playable anymore, which is why i am here on the forums pleading for any type of patch, update, etc. to fix this. please bethesda, obsidian, which ever of the two, maybe EVEN BOTH OF YOU AT THE SAME TIME !!!! please help me with this issue.

I have the same issues...I can't Fasttravel, Enter buildings, or save without the freeze of the entire X-Box. I noticed the issues after I killed the people in the NCRCF. Someone HELP!!! I've tried to clear the cache and redownload the patch, but still no joy.

i have the same problem too. i cant go into buildings or save. i think i read somewhere its because i killed all the gang members in the recreation facility. but i don't know i cleared the cache. installed it in my hard drive and still the same problem. do i have to restart the game?

this happened to me to the other day, last time i played my game froze when i went into a building. its only happened once so far but im only a few hours in.

I finally picked up the game on New Years - have played for several hours and have experienced this black screen of death twice so far - both times it was simply opening a door to a new floor in a building which required the game to load. It has corrupted the auto-save file and so I have to revert to my last manually saved game and both times I have lost hours of progress. I guess I have to manually save before every doorway now. This is a really frustrating glitch, and I'm not sure how many more times I'm going to endure it before giving up.

However... found a solution... GOODBYE PATCH! remove it and do not redownload!

It started on me of freezing when going to goodsprings while waiting or going to shop.
Tried Primm and the same of shopping.

Resurrecting this as this needs attention. After visiting NCRCF, saving outside that cell (be it manual or auto save) will crash the game. If the above post is right (testing ASAP), the latest patch introduced this bug. And it IS GAMEBREAKING!

ya same happened for me. and for me it also happened after killing all the ncr in the NCRCF. then when i left the building through the door (as opposed to walking through the holes in the gates made by the ncr) and tried to save my game anywhere else other than DIRECTLY outside the buiding my game crashed. it only crashes when either saving manually or when entering any building. the strange thing is that for my previous saved game in which i had already completed the NCRCF quest, when trying to save or load a building it works fine (i went back and checked. even went to the NCRCF and had no problems.) this is seriously ruining the game for me and i have no way of continuing playing this new saved game because i deleted all saves from before the NCRCF, hoping that it would fix the problem. obviously, it hasnt.
