I've beaten the main quest without a lot of exploring, but i ran on two or three random encounters like Tomas (?) and his star caps, but are there as many as say in F03?

Alot of the random encounter are if you have Weird Wilderness Perk.

Really? I was bummed that I havent really had any besides the one mentioned above. Im going to get that perk for sure next time.

There aren't any random encounters.

All the encounters from WW are pre-placed and happen in the same spot every time you play, and there are only 15 "events."

My brother and I, however, are working to add more, true random encounters to the game in a mod.

well i'm on PS3, so that svcks. And the WW trait is a waste they probably just used it for replay value - i looked at the list on wikia, not that exciting.

If you're on the PC you can enable the WW trait via the console.
I usually do that since i think it's wrong to have to waste a trait on something content related.
