Pirate game, Sea Dogs? POTC?

Okay, this is something i want Bethesda to consider making in the future.
I think alot of people have played the Sea Dogs and Bethesda helped Publish and did a bit of Development on the games.
They changed the name of Sea Dogs 2 to Pirates of the Carribean. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=io2WxewZtwA&feature=relatedhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUT6VkHgb3U&feature=related
Sea Dogs 2 aka Pirates of the Carribean was a great game and its on my top five games list.
I whould like Bethesda to make their own serie like the Sea Dogs games.
They could hire the people who made these Build 14 mods for Sea Dogs. the mod adds alot of new characters and ships about 100+ i think, New quests, new Main Stories and such.
Akella is the Russian game developers who owns the series and made the games with Bethesda.
Akella has been developing other Sea Dogs, Age of Pirates Carribean Tales and City of Abandoned Ships. Those games where pretty good. With Build 14 mod that also is available for those games.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvXJloXJhtc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8ZQ_MSqFgI
I do really want Bethesda to make their own Pirate serie with alot of ships and a Super upgraded Storm Engine (The Storm Engine is the engine for Sea Dogs. its really good with water and enviroment.)
Btw this is the next Age of Pirates (Captain Blood) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K35YOdmHtfA I dont think it ever is gonna get realeased but i hope it does.
Edit* Here is the Build 14 mod for POTC, also called http://www.moddb.com/mods/new-horizons
This is the mod for Age of Pirates City of Abandoned Ships. http://www.moddb.com/mods/city-of-abandoned-ships-combined-mods

Feel free to discuss if you want it or not. I want it.

I never actually had the pleasure to play the game, but I read about it and it does sound awesome. A current gen privateering sim (with possible fantasy elements?) would be very much awesome indeed. Made by Bethesda, open world, and modable, well I might just die a little (or as the the French call it la petite morte).

I'd be interested.

How would long, uneventful sea travel be handled? Clearly not everything is close to each other on the open sea, and there's bound to be times when there are no ships to pillage, or enemies to attack. Many wooden ship era journies took months to complete, so what could be done in terms of gameplay to shorten such trips without making it feel like your just sailing "around the corner" to get to the next objective?

i loved playing those games although they were a bit on the buggy side. you just inspired me to reinstall sea dogs 2. i totally forgot about it. :)

id like to see bethesda or some other large developer take a crack at it. NO STUPID FANTASY!!! i dont want griffins pulling my ship when the wind dies down or and orc midshipman. i wouldnt mind kraken or other sea monsters that fit the period or a ghost ship but they should be rare events. anything mythical for the time period would be fine but no elves and no orcs or dragons (except sea serpents) and no magic spell casting unless its a curse you get from digging up buried treasue. it has to fit in the world of pirates.

Yes please, I don't want bloody orcs in my pirating sim. Actually, I just want build mod 14 with current gen graphics, physics and a better melee combat system.
