EDE hit points range

Post » Mon Aug 09, 2010 9:18 am

maybe it is known by the majority here, but I didn't saw this anywhere : depending on the method to repair EDE, he has a different amount of hit points : on my first game I repaired it with 55 science and 35 repair, he has 360( yes !) hp. I send him to the followers in his personal quest, and they don't improve his hit points. on my last game, I repaired him with items, a much easier way, and he only has 180 hit points. I think this is the reason he is regarded by many as a "weak" companion : the majority of players didn't invest enough points in science and repair...updated the wiki

Who knew? I figured all 3 ways = the same result. Does this mean that sending him to the Followers will bring him up to 360 points? I guess I'll be looking to get the defensive upgrade.

Damn, I think I'll go back to before I activated him. He dies all the time right now. His HP really need to level up with the player, right now in hardcoe, I just hold him out of combat unless it's raider trash or weak vermin. Just about useless at 180 HP. They really need to make some sort of fix for hardcoe for EDE.

Meh. I used the science/repair method too and he still died all the time. I finally got tired of babysitting him when he died to some feral ghouls at the Repconn test site.

Are you sure you're not doing it at different levels?

yep, sorry guys, I read somewhere that companions don't change stats along with your level, so I assumed my 360 hp ede of first walkthrough was different than my 180 hp one of my current walkthrough...I was wrong. I still don't understand why veronica has 215 hp no matter my level is...some companions scale and others don't ?

It's believed that Veronica, specifically, is bugged. I didn't know she didn't level until I found a mod claiming to fix it.

so every companion but veronica level up ? I just took EDE and the bos woman and what's funny is that even at 215hp, with a power armor she nearly never dies

I repaired EDE using high science to do the bypass, then used repair to finish the job, and EDE is still at 180 HP. So I don't know how you got him/her at 360. I wish I knew.

Uh, I don't understand what you mean, can you clarify. How did you get a 360 HP EDE?
