Race textures not applied to armor

Post » Mon Aug 09, 2010 10:21 am

Hey ya'l I just have a little issue, I have been messing around with blender just to try to figure things out for a few weeks now, but I seem to have hit a bit of a snag. I recently messed with a couple of armors and mixed/edited a few of them together and incorperated a custom body. Unfortutunately the edited meshes ingore specific race (or character) skin color and features in game, opting instead to stay the pastey white default tone instead. It's probably a silly little mistake, but I am honestly stumped. I would greatly appreciate any advice on the matter and if I need to be more specific just tell me what you need. Thank you all for your time guys! ^.^

In nifskope make sure the NiMaterialProperty of the skin is named skin, other wise it wont change skin tone.

hmmm Okay I see the NiMaterialProperty, how do I determine whether it relates to the skin or the armor?

Click on the body part and it will highlight the right node.

Ah I see. So if I change the name to skin it will solve the problem?

It sounds like your skin NiMaterialProperty is not named skin, course it could be somthing else but without pics that what I am guessing it is.

Yes you are correct, it isn't named skin. So if I change the name to skind it will fix it?

Yes, just if you are using body mods like Roberts you would have to download his released clothes.
