Ha! Says a supporter of a dead empire. The Aldmeri Dominion is the future. Submit while you still have the opportunity, mortal. Titus Mede cannot shield you and your people from our wrath.

Do you really think the middle of the Imperial City is the best place to be spouting such rhetoric? *facepalms and hands you an Intervention scroll for your inevitable escape*

Let's just settle on "Neither one will likely be successfully invading the other". The Humans have been successfully kicking the elves out of their lands for millennia. Likewise, the Elves have had great success in holding onto what they have. Well, except for the Dunmer, but they were caught between a rock and an unforeseeable hard place.

And making an entire infernal invading army of evil daedra so scared, they closed the gates and hid and cried for a while.

Hist did that, the Argonians were not controlling themselves... And even then it was just a bunch of suicide!

Andddddd driving the Dumner from Vvardenfell is like driving the Haitians from Haiti last month.

And the most skilled soldiers and swordsmen in Tamriel.
Was Old Mery skilled on battlefield, really? Heh.
Khajiiti mercenaries sailing on their precious ships, by the way.

Sorry, Old Friend. As much as it pains me, I am not to return to the Isles quite yet. I have tasks to be completed in the Imperial City. However, should Titus's cronies get word of this from certain anti-progress scholars, perhaps you could fetch my sword so I could teach them a thing or two in true warfare?

Altmers and Nords? i didn't know that, i tought that the only good sailors were the redguard

Well you have to think about why you think Nords arent strong sailors. In alot of ways they remind me of the Saxon and Vikings of Europe. Both of those cultures were sea invaders, and go destroy, plunder and leave. And when they did they took a entire army with them. So youd have to think they were good sailors. And Nords remind me of those 2.

As I recall, Solstheim had an abundance of seagoing Reavers, and in Anvil, Sten the Ugly mentions that Nords like sailing. Or something like that.

Real life does not always equal lore, I'm afraid. While the Nords might have been based on the actual Nordic peoples back in the Daggerfall and Arena days, now they have broken off enough that we really can't assume they're vikings unless we have a source. Oh, and almost all viking raids were by a small band of soldiers, usually freelancing, and on small villages and churches. The large scale invasions didn't come until they decided to conquer England.

I'd assume the Altmer, based on lore books and their natural island status, would be the best. Not to mention their superior technology and magic. The Yokudans might have been good too, but I think the Redguards lost a bit of that over time. They make good sailors, true, but their navy isn't the best. On a person by person basis the Redguards might be the best, but the Altmer ships were superior, and they had goblin slaves to do the rope pulling and whatnot.

As much as it pains me to say it, I have to weigh in on the side of the Altmer as well. If we use history as a judge then of each of the main seafaring races (Altmer, Nord, and Redguard) the Altmer sailed to Tamriel first. In fact their migration predates the other two races by at least a thousand years. When they arrived they almost immediately set themselves to the task of exploring and mapping the uncharted coasts. Sending out explorers like Topal the Pilot indicates a seafaring mastery beyond what the other races demonstrate.
