Parkour Collisions, what do you think will happen?

What do you think will happen if 2 guys slid towards each other and made contact at the same time?

I'm hoping for coming to a dead stop and getting up because it would ensure an epic face to face battle afterwards but you will probably both slam into each other and fall. OR, they will do what most games do and the one that hits the slide button a split second earlier will automatically get the hit

It only makes sense for any melee aspect of any game, for the first person to hit the button to get the knockdown / deal damage. The person with the faster reaction time gets the win.

How about the person who is moving faster does the damage. Slides depend on the speed you are moving and the longer you sprint and more vaults and stuff you can chain together before you slide the faster you will run and thus slide faster/farther.

I reckon it will just treat you both as walls, so it would be like sliding into a wall; both will just stand up at impact.

I like this thread. Something new. But the chances of you actually wall hopping right when the enemy is wall hopping on the same wall, is very slim. It would be pretty cool if you came at a dead end stop and got back up for that one moment you look your enemy straight in the eye. :mellow:

Actually, in a Halo sword battle that isn't true, just to clear things up,
I personally want both players to stand, but they will both probably be knocked down.

I say they will both be knocked down.. though hitting a wall and being at a stand still where reflexes will win is more to my liking.

I just ran the math again and it is a possibility.

Just so we're clear, are we talking about two enemies hitting each other? I voted that the person who parkours first would get the knockdown, but if it were two allies that meet each other, I am assuming that they will both stand up or somehow slide around each other. After all, it would be EXTREMELY annoying if an ally decided to be a jerk and started knocking down all of his teammates.

You know what, this thread made me think about?

There should have been some kind of CQC style of hand to hand fighting in brink, like chock holds and punches, stuff like that O_o

It's not wallhopping, it's about sliding

if not the person who pushed the button first, possibly the heavier body type. (depending on the situation)

Heavy beats all, medium beats light, and light just gets thrown around like a rag doll. idk about same body type collisions though.

I expect it to either be double knockdown (which I voted for), or another option you missed on the poll, which I'd actually hope it is.

Size based.

Heavy slides into sliding Light/Medium = Heavy standing, opponent knocked down.
Medium slides into Light = Medium standing, Light knocked down.
Equal sized bodies = double knockdown...?

Last one could just as easily and fairly be dead stop with no knockdown.
