Everyone:

I'm doing a mod install of Oblivion and I'm looking for weapons mods. I've been to TesNexus and I've read through Budda's list. The thing is this: there are a kazillion weapons mods and more are getting made each day. In the past week, several more have been added to TesNexus.

I can go through them all, and I probably will in time, but if you'll forgive the question, what are your favorite weapon mods? Which ones won't you play without?

I prefer realistic looking weapons to mystical or extreme weapons. Weapons I admire include:

Adonnay's Classic and Elven weapons
RealSwords
Vagabound Angel's Katanas
Armamentarium (I love the katanas)
The Unrepentant Archer (I love the bows)

Things like that. I have FCOM installed so I have all the files associated with that install. I generally prefer single handed weapons to two-handed (but I'll look at anything) and I'd really like to expand my bow collection.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26490 the screens on the nexus only show the armors but the sotonhorian weapons are the best I know of real high quality, check out the sotonhorian longsword or shortsword and you will see but the realswords khajiit cutlass is my favorite weapon. The chain armor included in it is my absolute favorite armor ever so you might try that too since it's included even though you are looking for weapons.

Wow, this is great! One problem is it conflicts with Arthmoor's Villages, but the author said he would upload a patch. When he does, I'll download it.

I have the first three - and will add the last two to my game. Two questions, tho:

First, is this the Welkynd Sword that can replace one of the swords in Blood & Mud, with an FCOM .esp patch?

Second, do you know if all the modules from RealSwords have been integrated into FCOM? I love those swords, perfect for roleplay.



Funny, I just found Andragom's Weapons and Armors moments before I came here. It looks great. I hope it works on the TFF/Roberts body, tho.

Another suggestion: http://tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=72638 makes some of my favorite weapons. I particularly love the Real Swords series, where each installment adds a set of weapons inspired by a particular Elder Scrolls race, and the weapons give characters of that race a bonus when wielded. Real Swords-Nord is my favorite of the bunch.

edit: and ha! I see that I managed to overlook the mention of it in the first post. Serves me right for posting before finishing my first cup of coffee.

My favorite weapons mods are acually weapons contained in mods whose theme is not weapon based, but rather quest/land based! My favorite weapons in mods are the Warlock Blade you get during 1 of the quests in the "Lost Spires" mod, some wierd flame sword you get for defeating the Balrog you cast in the "Midas Magic Spells of Aurum" mod, and some of the Khajiit weapons you either find or loot from dead corpses in the "Elsweyr Deserts of Anequina" land mod! (I'll post pics later.) Please note that these 3 are not weapons mods per say, but rather they are mods that contain some pretty cool weapons within them!

So personally I have more than enough weapons from the overhauls and quest mods.
