They will probably have that or put that sort of thing in te fighters guild.

Given the fighter's guild track record for quests... I don't think so. Besides, these kinds of quests are so different that they deserve a small faction.

i would join it in a heartbeat... you should seriously get this going as a mod for skyrim. even if you dont know how to you can still make up the script for it and story and get a team of modders together and watch it come to life.... i would definably download and endorse it.

Must say. "Most dangerous game" quest is BRILLIANT. Loved the book, and a TES version just makes it all the better. If not included in the game, I'd LOVE to see a mod version of that quest.

My computer struggles to play COUNTER-STRIKE. I'm not getting this on PC, unfortunately.

@Mc tuffy, this is not a 'hunter' guild. But since the guild is based in the wilderness, they need a way of getting supplies. That's why you'll be doing plenty of hunting at low ranks and for random quests. The rangers are Skyrim nationolists, and are connected with the land. They want independence from the empire, and therefore use guerilla tactics and many aspects of the hunt in taking down and harrassing legion targets.

In Balmora I think the Morag Tong were having turf wars with the Thieves Guild correct me if I'm wrong.
AND PLEASE BETHESDA STOP GIVING GUILDS SUCH CHEESY NAMES. The Theives Guild, Mages Guild, Fighters guild HELL why not call the Dark Brotherhood the "Assassins Guild" RANT OVER Sorry to lower the tone its been something I've hated for years.

I thought it was the Cammona Tong who were fighting with the Thieves Guild in Balmora?

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Morag_Tong
"The Dark Brotherhood originated from the Morag Tong."
"The Morag Tong is an assassins guild sanctioned by the Empire to provide three varieties of execution"
"The Morag Tong is the sworn enemy of the Dark Brotherhood."

But forget the names, they are not important. I just want "similar guilds" in opposition, where the player have to choose one or the other, with different bonuses and quests to each. Forces the player to make choices. Loved that concept in FONV.

Maybe it's too late for the vanilla Skyrim, but this can always be made into a DLC

I would totally join that guild / faction, since my character is going to be a hunter sort.

Seeing as I always play as a ranger, this would entertain me greatly.

You know I think sombody already made something similar to your idea as a mod for Oblivion. I never had the chance to try it but perhaps you would like to http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=4281. While I cant say I fancy the chances of this idea being made into the Vanilla game (unless it is a faction of the Imperial Legion such as the Foresters) it would be a great idea to make into a mod.

Great idea, but being pro-Imperial I wouldn't join :(

I'd still like it to be, since it's excellent in idea, but I'd also like a pro-Imperial parallel faction. Ideally, something like Legion scouts, which camp out in the wilderness and spy on rebel forces, sabotage rebel towns, capture hated individuals and bring them back alive for bounties (wild west style?), etc. The finale could be retaking a rebel town back into the fold of the Empire, or something like that :D

Anyhoo yeah, fantastic concept and I hope something resembling this gets implemented!

Imperial Legion Foresters?

But this \|/

capture hated individuals and bring them back alive for bounties (wild west style?),

would be a great idea for its own individual faction and is one of the mod ideas I have planned for Skyrim. While it wouldnt make much sense for them to have their own faction as Bounty Hunters arent really the type who band together what I had planned to do was create a quest line where the player can sign on with the Imperial Legion or other law enforcement agency in Skyrim as a freelance Bounty Hunter who operates outside the law to track down the most elusive criminals of Skyrim and bring them back dead or alive. The quests would involve following your targets footsteps shaking down lackeys and doing a bit of detective work to determine the targets location and even in some cases fighting off rival Bounty Hunters as you both race to capture the target first.

But then perhaps I have been watching too much Cowboy Bebop.

Its nice to see a great idea and it even nicer to see a thread with no arguments.
Just one thing though about the attacking of imperial legion caravans...
...This is 200 years after the last of the Septim line died, we don't know if the The Imperial Empire even exists any more let alone controls Skyrim is you look on UESPs Time line of the forth era it doesn't say anything apart from "NON OFFICIAL" stuff saying that there was a coo and Black Marsh and Elsweyr Broke off and Black Marsh invaded Morrowind and more crap from that book "The Infernal City".
One Argument against the Empire being in control is if it were there would be no civil war as the New Emperor or head of state Would decide who the successor is.
BUT looking at the trailer it looks like the guards maybe wearing Roman looking gear which is always a sign of Imperial influence.

I love you're idea though and hope to see something like it in the game. What do you think this Rangers Guild should be called?

Hmm. Rangers, rangers guild, the (generic fanatasy place) rangers, I don't know.
On the legion, if the empire has come to total collapse, it could be remanant factions. Doubtless some up and coming new guy will be trying to rebuild the empire, and sending the legion to the provinces. They don't have to be imperial, they just have to represent foreign influence, preferably imperial. I liked the idea of the imperial scouts earlier in this thread who acted as bounty hunters.

Sorry I made a mistake the lore in the Infernal city is Official Emperor Titus Mede took the imperial city by force with less than 1000 men however this happened sometime Between 4E 1 and 4E 18 when his sone is born how ever we don't find out if Prince Attrebus Mede makes if off of Oblivion we'll have to wait and see for the sequel.
