Good leveled item list mods?

Post » Tue Aug 17, 2010 7:57 am

I've noticed after you gain really high levels that random NPCs begin to have the same equipment, either daedric or glass, and well that gets boring. What are the recommended mods that add more items to the leveled lists and change this? Also, would there need to be some merging done for them to eliminate conflicts? Finally, is there a mod that fixes the vanilla leveled lists to use the lower leveled equipment so it's not just daedric and glass?

For more variety, i use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18417, that adds new armor and weapons to the game, with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25309 that adds new unique stuff to the game.

For leveld lists there are many mods that do that.

Personally i use http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=268, it's pretty old and not developed anymore but does what i want and nothing else.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15256 (OOO) is the most popular one, but it does a whole lot of other things than just change the leveld lists.

Also there is Tamriel Immersion Experience, but i've no clue what exactly that even does :hehe:

Atleast Fran's and OOO also add new weapons and armor to the game.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1115084-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom-66/ can give you a loot of items, together with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18417. Also FCOM changes the leveled lists, making them a lot better.

FCOM is comprised of Francesco's Leveled Creatures and Items, Oblivion WarCry, Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, Martigen's Monster Mod, and various other optional things. I myself have not used any FCOM plugins, but I use OOO and compatible MMM. It's an excellent pair that changes everything to feel more immersive by keeping many enemies at the same level with the same loot, while adding many more enemies with their own unique loot. If you use Wrye Bash, it's fairly pleasant to install and play with barely any problems.

If you only have the time and patience for installing/playing only one overhaul, I recommend OOO above all others. It levels out vanilla objects, adds many new ones, adds unique items with interesting abilities, as well as fascinating quests. If you choose to keep all of the default options, it only requires an ESM master file and a single ESP. Just check your current load order for any incompatibilities, overhaul mods are prone to such.

I highly recommend it for busy people who want to beef up their play time without wasting too much time.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not really looking to do any overhaul mods. I'd don't really like some of the changes that are included in FCOM and it's separate mods, with the exception of MMM. I do use that since it only adds to the monster lists. I'm mainly looking to just change the vanilla level list to where there is a chance for all items to appear at higher levels. And of course to add new items to those same lists.

John, will definatelycheck out your mod. Does that work with MMM? Got Arm. too :D

I use it with MMM, Frans and Arm, not to mention countless other mods. It's rather clean and effective, adding new weapons and armor without changing foes in any other way, but a Bashed Patch is usually needed when using more then one mod to add weapons to NPC Leveled Lists.
