I'm about to go to block buster, and I'm thinking about going to gamestop and getting MAG instead, so I got two questions, is it worth the 25$, and do people still play it?

I rented it once and tried really hard to like it. I loved the idea of having 256 people in a game, but it just wasn't implemented that well. I think it handles poorly compared to other shooters on the market, and it's just inferior to the likes of BC2 in every meaningful way. Having tons of players in one large game doesn't make up for that.

I think the most positive think I have ever heard said about it is "It wasn't the worst game ever".

It seems like its sole selling point was that it was supposed to be a Massive Action Game, which is what MAG stands for I think (yeah. Totally lame.) It never interested me. 256 players is just asking to gimp in every other area possible in a game due to how much work they obviously put into making that possible.
