Race specific Combat

I'm hoping to see at least some race specific animations like unique Argonian swimming animations.

Unique gameplay affecting things like clawing, biting, and hitting enemies with an Argonian tail could be great to have too...And if my enemies could grab my tail I'd love to shout: "Let go of my tail you vermin!" :P

Do want Khajiit claw hand-to-hand fighting in Skyrim. Missed it from Morrowind when I started playing Oblivion.
The Khajiit in Morrowind had a beast-race feel to them, so did the Argonians, but in Oblivion they are just scaly/furry humans with tails and animal heads.

Claw grappling and disemboweling stomach kicks while biting the throat for the Khajiit. Claws but a focus on large bites and tail whips from the Argonians with maybe bladed weapons on the tip of the tail. But i'm sure we will just get "jab jab jab jab jab".

Hahaha, sorry, these forums are moving too fast. There were TWO race-related topics at the same time one page 1 and I clicked on the wrong one. I never stopped to read the title, I just posted what I meant to post for the other place. I think this topic is fine, I do care about it, I just made a mistake. Sorry.

no it just sounded like you where dissing beast races there not as animal like as you think also im an argonian >.>......<.< :toughninja:

Yeah I always thought the beast races should walk and move differently, Argonians especially. I always thought they should kind hunch and move very...I don't know how to explain it...reptilian.

the dunmer and the argonians should HATE each other in-game if you play as a dunmer any argonian's disposition should be like 5 or 10 towards you and vice versa for Argonian/Dunmer

Hmmm... That could be bad. If you are comparing it to the Oblivion system, then that will be so bad that most may try to kill you outright. Though, I agree, Dunmers and Argonians should hate eachother. And since the Argonians conquered Morrowind in 4E from the Dunmer.

i can get behind this, but there was racism in game (play a Khajiit, you will find people that hate you calling you a furlicker and a mangy housecat.)

i killed a few people because of this.. which did end up as a almost comlete massacre of leyawin

I would like automatic Race Powers.

  • The Redguard's Adrenaline Rush Activates automatically when you're low on health.
  • The Orc's Berserk activates if you attack rapidly in quick succession.
  • The Khajiit Night-Eye gradually adjusts the lighting to normal.
  • Bosmer won't get attacked by some animals unless they get too close.
  • Breton Dragon-Skin activates when you get damaged above a certan percentage (eg: limits damage by one attack to 30% of health)

well i agree with this except there is ALOT of racism for the beast races (mostly by the dunmer)

I feel that it would be cool to see race specific action kill sequences. I think that the racist characters only act that way in sly out of dialog sequences comments, start at lower dispositions and have have a slower gain of disposition and a quicker drop but once they cross a threshold they treat you anyone else. However it could be cool to see some characters that force you to go a different rout because of being that particular race. (i think it kinda avoids the racism topic so long as you keep it out of the human races [redguard, nord, imperial, breton])

At least some racial traits shouldn't have the self buff spell animation, it looks really weird when an Orc "casts" berserker rage on himself. I'd rather see him chew on his shield and howl like a mad man.

this is actually a nice idea for a mod
