I have a Nvidia GeForce 9800 GT card with the 260.99 drivers. Under Dxdiag it still shows the date as 10/16/10 even though I've downloaded and reinstalled the drivers from different sources.

What happens is that during the waking up scene at the begginng, I will most often get a white/black screen with little other video and sometimes no sound. Other times I'll get wierd color blocks known as artifacts that cover the entire screen. I can't get past the point where you pick a name, everything just glazes over in a wide variety of colors and then freezes, sometimes with the white/black I don't get even that far.

Tried tech support, reinstalled the drivers, reinstalled New Vegas. Nothing has fixed the problem and some have made it worse.

I've tried it with AA off, on, HDR/Bloom off/on Flitering off/on. Lower settings etc. Nothing works. There isn't an over-heating issue, the temperature stays well below normal temperatures for this sort of activity. I've tried other games, they work perfectly fine with and without the new drivers, some of the games carried very heavy graphics loads too.
