I just noticed today that when I open my pip-boy and press any of the number keys to bind an item to a hotkey the game instantly stops and crashes to desktop. This was not present yesterday. Anyone else have this problem? I would like to know if anyone else has this issue, I am playing New Vegas on Steam with Windows 7.

Can anyone with New Vegas on steam tell me if you get this aswell.

And if I am the only one, would deleting the local content and reinstalling be a good idea to fix this? I verified the game cache already.

This just happened w/ me not 10 minutes ago. Defragged, verified, and rebooted several times. Still crashing. Trying to decide how to fix it as well. Any luck?

Even after a complete re-install the saves were still screwed. Started a new game and all was good. Kind of reminds me in a way of the old F-Bomb issue from Shivering Isles.

Yep. All 10 save files are corrupted. They'll load but crash upon trying to access the hotkeys in the pip boy. Uninstalled, reinstalled, started new game - new save works fine. Loaded old saves, crash on hotkeys in pip boy. Went back into the new save and it worked fine again so this was something isolated to before the re-install. Those saves did happen sometime during Come Fly W/ Me BUT it was before meeting Harland (before even talking to Davison) and well before even having access to the space suit. Also, it was just after talking to Jason the first time. So, not sure if this is unique unto itself or just another puzzle piece to the Come Fly W/ Me fiasco.

yeah i just kept playing my old game it's a pain but and wont go away but could be worse
