Save File Corrupted ?

Post » Tue Aug 31, 2010 12:48 am

Please Note that i did go through the forums to check if this question has been answered, sadly it has not

So here is the whole story :

I start playing New Vegas (My Second File because i screwed up the first one) then i decide i forgot a while ago that i decided to wipe out the entire Powder gangers left at that NCR facility. So i go kill everyone like i did in my first save file, but then there the administration building i never seen before. I go in kill some people with names like Eddie. After that i decide to rob some of they`re stuff, so i go into this room an d safe both were locked, I got in to the safe with lockpick and the room with a key. Then i exit that building it auto saves, i save a few moments later after killing some more powder ganged. THEN I turn off my xbox to go and eat. I come back, start playing again, decide to go to goodsprings to possibly either go to the general store or go to Ringo for a hand of Caravan, But when i do enter the general shop, it loads then its goes to a black screen (I did leave it there for about 20 minutes, NOTHING) So i reload and try again, and again, and again, and again, but its the same results. I did it to other locations other buildings, everything that had a loading screen, IT ALSO FROZE JUST ME WALKING !

Note : I Connected to live today (March 15 2011) and got an update

So if there is anyone who can help me please, please, help me figure this out. I dont want to start over again, i am about to give up on this game, i put over 25 hours in to the game, and a lot of caps, and i was farther than my first save..
I also cleared my cache on my HDD and my Memory unit.
I also tried installing the game to my HDD but it said the file could not be found, it needed a DLC. So that screwed it over, Is it because of the patch?? If it is tell me how to get rid of it !!

Thanks,
Aznboyz79 (My GT)

Boyz,
I encounters the same issue with the NCRF. I found that any kind of saving makes the game crash. After a few hours of experimenting and trouble shooting I found a rather simple fix:
1. Delete all updates/patches by clearing your system cache. (if you don't know how to do that look Ito up on YouTube)
2. Start the game.
3. When prompted to update the game decline. NOTE: this will sign you out of XLIve
4. Load up the save game file.
5. After your game has finished loading, fast travel as far away from the area you spawned in as possible.
6. Save your game
7. Exit to your dashboard and re-start the game
8. OPTIONAL: re-download all patches
9. Load the game and enjoy

I hope this helps
