Bethesda, I have been a long time player of your releases for the Xbox and Xbox 360 platforms, as well as the PC, as someone who has followed so many of your games without complaint I was hoping you could settle the concerns I have with one of the best games I have ever played, Fallout: New Vegas. In the five times I have played through the entirety of New Vegas I have only been able to receive the "Caesar's Favor" quest once, when I had multiple characters (3) that had supported, or atleast was within good standing, with Caesar's Legion. Each time the mysterious Frumentarii that is supposed to meet me and give me the quest something goes horribly wrong. In one case, I fast traveled on accident and before I noticed he was there realized that occasionally the game will make it so it is impossible to meet the frumentarii if you fast travel away from him. In another case he traveled all the way to the NCR-controlled 188 Trading Post and was near-instantly slaughtered by the combination of the NCR troopers and Veronica. In the final case however, he has not shown up whatsoever even though I am Idolized with Caesar's Legion, have completed all the main quests (with the exception of the last), saved Caesar's life by operating on him, and even have the Legion Safehouse. My next concern is the logic of having "thrown weapons" that are so scarce and limited, be unable to be gathered up once they hit the target, I would understand if for example: "The Courier hurled spear after spear against the Deathclaw's skin with only few penetrating it's hide, the majority being smashed and broken as it charged him/her", then its obvious the spears that were trampled would be salvageable, but otherwise should be retrievable. Im not sure if the Havok system is unable to allow the retrieval of thrown weapons, but i'm not criticizing, im stating my concerns. If that is the case then I hope that there would be a better way to get more thrown weapons then the options that are currently available
(possibly a vendor that deals in unarmed/melee weapons kinda the antithesis of the Gun Runners?), since those who DO sell thrown weapons rarely do. The minigun has several problems that I have noticed after the release of Dead Money, there is no "revving" of the barrels that you'd figure a minigun would need, and the sound effects for it are extremely jumbled to the point where it will not play the sound when you are shooting the weapon, and unless you switch weapons it will not stop playing the sound every few seconds. My final concern is the practicality of the "Blade of the East" and the "Legate's Helmet" if your are never going to use such sweet items ever in the game, if its true (which I hope to God it is not) that there will be no "Broken Steel"-esc dlc for Fallout: New Vegas, then I would like to ask what the point of adding it was at all.
Thank you for reading my post.
