the british TV Drama "Threads" was simply amazing. but i was assuming you are talking about actual movies.

Threads was really good i would suggest it

super depressing though

I would recommend Dr. Strangelove, even though it's not really a post apocalyptic movie (more about a nuclear war) it's very funny and memorable.

I've heard other people on this forum suggest Planet of the Apes, it's more sci-fi but has some post apocalyptic elements.

I just read about it, while reading about the American equivelent, The Day After, both sound gritty and worthy of a few watches!

Stephen King's "The Stand". Surprised no one mentioned it yet, it's a staple of my post-apocalyptic diet. It was also a pretty decent TV mini-series, one that would have greatly benefited from being on HBO or Showtime instead of Network TV.

Of course I'm shying away from this type of reading/viewing so that the Mojave Wasteland is more jarring.

Steve McQueen wasn't in the Omega Man.

I loved Children Of Men. Exactly how I imagined Fallout:London to look and feel. OK, not post-nuclear, but I loved the feel of it (yeah I'm strange)

I liked that movie.

(Clive Owen must have the record for most scenes with a baby and gun, of any actor  )

Watch the tv-series JERICHO and FIREFLY. Nothing else comes close. I think anyone who loves Fallout, are bound to love those as well. There's much of the same "sense of life," and fantastic story telling.

"The Oxford Books of Science Fiction Stories", has got a selection from 1903-1990, and the ones from 1930*-60 are a lot of fun :) I might get me some Phillip K. dike and Ray Bradbury to read through too.

[Edit]: changed date.

Jeremiah, honestly if you've never watched this TV series do so at once. It has vaults, Raven Rock, post apocalyptica up the ying yang. And is actually a good watchable TV show that was cruelly cut short IMO.
