Fallout 2's was WAY easier to get. All you have to do is pretty much literally walk into a base and get the vertibird plans, which is easy peasy, and then let the BoS copy them, it's so easy to do. Also, theres only 2 suits of T-51b in Fallout 3.

With Fallout 2 it's only "easy" if you know where the armour is in the first place. I keep reading these comments that its so easy to get PA in FO2. I have tried many times to just walk to
Spoiler
Navarro to get the Advanced PA in the locker
while still at an early level. More often then not I run into swarms of Wanamingo, floaters and raiders. Again it's only easy if you know it's there. On your first play you would not know that unless you spoil it for yourself.

Fallout 3's PA svcks anyways because it does not have damage threshold. It was only hard because you had to go to the BoS and get them to teach you. Going to the BoS is only when you start the final quest. Alot of work for pointless armour IMO. Then O:A makes it easer to get the poinless armour.

Anyways more on topic, I sure hope there are quests the BoS will send you on to get their help. I also hope the BoS aren't the only ones to have PA.

I found power armor to be a let-down in fo3. (I have only played fo3. I thought it was a fine game, a little too easy, it makes your character way too powerful too early, but otherwise a good game.)

And I keep hearing about how the Brotherhood are a bunch of jerks, kind of like the Outcasts in fo3. That shoot ghouls on sight, they see all Wastelanders as savages, etc.

Well, even the Capital wAsteland brotherhood is a bit like this - they ARE looking down on wastelanders and it's implied that they too think that the only good ghoul is a dead ghoul...

I hope the BoS is present, but minimal. Not a central theme or even a forced visit. SImply a faction you can happen upon. My understanding through the previews that this is the way it is looking.

As for Power Armour: It was absurd how commonplace it was throughout the Wasteland - especially once the Enclave appeared. Ever found Enclave members sleeping? Guess what they wear to bed even when they are at their base. Seriously - Brotherhood & Enclave members did EVERYTHING in their power armour.
