I for one will be using the Veteran on at least one character, for a grizzled sheriff type on the Security side and a frustrated hobo war vet on the other. :P

Well I mean, come on. When it comes to people are able to pick outfits and other customizable options there are going to be a few "outfits" that will appeal to many people.

For example, The Anger. There are probably going to be many people who will use that set-up because it does look cool. There will probably be a lot of people who will use The Shield because it also looks very cool. There is nothing wrong with lots of people liking one particular look and running with it.

As someone else posted, when some people see lots of people wearing one thing they will intentionally not pick it. That's how we work. We want to be unique. Or, if you're like me, you want to look cool and then you want to do your best to shoot at people with fully automatic weapons and blow things up. Weird, right?

@RedEnigma18, when are we going to have an epic bass battle?

guy2: oh, i umm... i saw it blah blah blah blah!

I want to look pretty while playing Brink.

I kinda agree with you here. Really what happened to the FPS spirit? Sure its a plus to have some customization in it but some of you are worried there may be a other guy looking just like you. Who cares about balancing the game and fun gameplay i just want to look cool and unique!

since there are quadrillions of customization options, so unless you are wearing anything that does not involve the bug, the anger or the eel, you wont ever meet anyone that looks like you

If I saw Tinker Bell with a mini-gun swooping over my team with automatic fire I would, admittedly, be a little taken aback.

Oke good one sir. You just made me lol

But really do u guys really care that much how u look like? I prefer going for something that blends in with the background that they wont spot me as fast. All other stuff just gives u a disadvantage.

So everyone in this thread who is making fun of the OP is just going to leave there character as default and never switch their clothes or do any other type of customization?

Making it seem like this guy's concern is any less valid than any other is kind of silly. He will be paying his money for it and this is a message board about the game.

Nope, I am going to make my guy look the way that I want him to look. If someone else looks that way I will give them a high-five, make a joke about meeting my online long lost twin, and then commence to jigglin' (or in this case shooting people and the like).

Facial similarities will probably not matter too much because most people will either have masks or lots of stuff on their character's face so that one thing, in my opinion, is not too big of a thing for me and apparently for others in this thread at least.

Dress up how you want to. Take the safeties off. Let's do this!

I wonder why Brink has the so-called customization and then had to cut out female characters so that males can have more outfits, etc....? Hmmmm...... :D
Let's cut out the customization part that the devs have been talking about A LOT, hee! ^_^

well since this type of customization is new to FPS, i really enjoy the way my character looks. since its a big part of brink i really care about it.

Me, too.

^^ Me too, I love character customization in FPS' and Halo: Reach is the only game that has done it for me so far (please don't give a list of games that rival Reach in customization, I dont care)

LOVED wearing pink in Halo: Reach and actually being female for once, lol!

That what happens when 98% of the available faces look like cavemen...duh

Well, not cavemen, I wouldn't go that far....but still kind of ugly, lol.

To OP, I have a feeling the Look (in terms of non-masked/non-covered faces) will be used quite a bit, too. I mean, even one of the devs (was it Ham or Stern?) used
the Look's face in their dev gameplay video, lol! :D
