Pauldrons Seem to Be Included!

I don't think this has been confirmed yet, but by the looks of this screenshot you can clearly see that the left shoulder has a pauldron on it. Unless this is just how the cuirass looks, but I think they brought Pauldrons back.

Hmm, nice find. I certainly hope what you've said is the case.
The only thing is, I can't see why the Devs would have the Dragonborn wearing a non-full set of armour in the trailer.

Yeah that's kind of why I was thinking that maybe that's just the style of the cuirass. But hopefully the pauldrons are brought back.

This isn't the first time someone has used screenshots or images from the trailer as indication that seperate pauldrons might be back, but I don't think this necessarily proves anything. It could simply be that this is just the way that particular armor looks. Now, I'm certainly not saying there won't be seperate pauldrons, I'm just saying this doesn't prove there will.

AGREED. I would definitely like to see pauldrons return. But usually when you equip a set there on both shoulders, plus it does look like its specific to that set of armour.

It attracts the Conan crowd. It's also a good way of showing off the Dragon shouts magical protection effects.

We really don't see any indication that magical protection was involved in the fight, though. I mean, sure, the Dragonborn survives getting a dragon's fire breath to the face, but at least if it's anything like past games, you'd really just need a lot of health to survive that, and I'm sure that in the trailer, Bethesda enabled godmode to prevent shots from being ruined by the unintended deaths of the player character. Really, I think that the reason why they'd wear only one pauldron, assuming this was a conscious choice made in the game and not just the way the armor is designed, is simply because they thought it would look cool.

even if pauldrons arent included,at least Beth has decided on assymetrical armour, wich is a blessing at itself compared to the previous perfectly symetrical models wich were boring as hell imo
