So whos getting the Guide?

No, best I prefer to find things myself, not be told where they are. Even if I didn't, I'd use the wiki anyway - it's free, it's more in-depth, and it's more likely to actually be accurate.

I think that guides ruin the game, I like to find everything for myself

Good point about the wiki. It's free and goes into a lot more depth, and if I really really need to know something, I can alt+tab out of game and quickly search for just what I want. I used to and still occasionally read the Fallout 3 wiki for fun.

Although the author seems like a rather intelligent chap i just can't. To me guide's ruin the game and the fun of finding this stuff out yourself.

I'm a bit surprised to find so many people will be getting the guide to be honest - they feel like such a needless cheat.

It's singleplayer game that has no time restriction and you can save and reload in whenever you want.

Be thorough and you'll find everything...

Plus it's impossible to find very specific information in it, you always have to read around a subject.

I mean, each to their own, but i'm still surprised.

I dont like starting over, and I put alot of thought into how I make my character. So I need the guide for weapon strength requirements, number of skill books, what snowglobes actualy do, and what perks are available form quests (would skip this for spoilers, but then I end up reloading and completing it every way to see the rewards).

With some games I enjoy making my character more than actualy playing him...

you know, i seriously considered buying the guide but to be honest, the fallout wikia site will give me all the information i need... maybe not at first but, after my first playthrough (which will take me longer than most), i'll be ready to wiki it up... and by then i am sure the site will be littered with the valuable information i need :D... and i'll be adding stuff as well once the time comes... i've contributed a little bit here and there, especially the information about turning the tepid sewers in the lone wanderer's home... it's got everything except an annoying robot and bobblehead stand...

i like the vault though, it's probably the most useful wikia site out there IMO...
