Throw us a frickin' bone, Bethesda!

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:26 pm

Well said, and yes we have been waiting for a very long time for any information whatsoever.

I am aware of this - I've been lurking in the "speculation" thread here for years now. I created my account when Eurogamer Denmark leaked that Bethesda's new game is TES V, and people in the thread started noticing how many "anonymous" users had suddenly started lurking...

The type of big, open-world RPGs that Bethesda specialise in are right up my alley, and whenever something made by them is on the way I feel a genuine, giddy excitement that no other developer is capable of providing. I just love thinking about these kinds of games, and fantasising about what it will be like to play them. A screen-shot would make this process so much more enjoyable!

More would probably be revealed around Xmas time or January...

I don't think OP remembers the announcement of Oblivion (or maybe I don't)... but all I remember is that for what seemed like a very long time, the only thing we had was "Oblivion" written on a black background....

In comparison we're blessed with TES V and a big teaser trailer.

Too true. Combing the internet for a single interview or rumor is nothing compared to the awesomeness we all witnessed yesterday. I'm fine with not getting information for the next few days.

Begging for information the day after the game has been announced is a little silly. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders after seeing the announcement, and I'm okay with just that for a little while. Besides, remember Guild Wars 2? How long did it take after announcement before we saw a single screenshot? I'd say we're pretty lucky.

Dude they just announced it. Most games release a trailer to get everyone's attention then they slowly release info and more media to keep everyone interested, they just released the trailer the other day it will probably be at least a couple weeks before they start to talk about it more.

Before the teaser trailer was released, you would have said a teaser trailer is enough, now you say "just one screenshot", and then when you get it you'll want a gameplay trailer, etc.

It's only been one day since the reveal. I'm happy they announced a definite release date as well, which was probably more than expected from a simple announcement.

What with finals coming to an end within the week, along with Christmas and the new year right around the corner, I'm perfectly content with waiting until the Game Informer story in January.

Agreed. Most of us who have been speculating since the 1st thread of speculation are just happy to know when and what is coming

Making threads to holler more, more, more won't speed the process up. In the last day we have had a teaser site, a video, an announcement and been told it's on a new internal engine.

We have threads all over to discuss them. We can't expect more this day so this thread really has nothing to discuss but to yell, More.

More spam?
