Future of Vvardenfell (spoilers if you haven't read the new

If Skyrim is expanding, I can easily foresee them attempting to gobble up more of High Rock and Daggerfall (got to love the infighting that weakens the hell out of them), and with Morrowind devoid of any conceivable resistance, the nords could reclaim ancient holdings. Should Skyrim become powerful enough, I could see them issue an ultimatum to Cyrodiil to join them as a great empire of Man.

This of course assumes Skyrim isn't having its own infighting. Though Solitude and Dawnstar could have a greater influence, due to their combined wealth and alliance that outshines any other city, Dawnstar has the problem of infighting and a divided government. In addition, Winterhold did go through quite a renaissance when there was an influx of dunmer refugees, making it a place of culture and academics, but they hate those of Solitude. The other cities did poorly at the end of the third era.

Of course, if we're going with the idea of what you said, a powerful human figure is going to rise to perform all of this unification. Of who (or whom) that may be has yet to be known.

Interesting, Skyrim attaining it's glories of old. If I remember correctly, Skyrim once occupied Morrowind, High Rock and some fractions of Cyrodiil. This could very well be the enviroment in which the next game takes place - That is if the next game is set in Skyrim.

A renewed era of Man.
