Multiplayer, Levelled AI and Mounted Combat

Post » Sun Sep 19, 2010 6:13 am

Does anyone know what the situation is with these?

ES games have always been great without the multi-player so not too concerned there, but one thing I HATED in OB
was the Leveled AI (monsters automatically matched your character), so leveling up became a pointless "oh well, the enemy just leveled up too" affair.

Also I reckon mounted combat would be awesome, since playing Mount & Blade I'm convinced it will work for almost any fantasy.

No multiplayer confirmed, level scaling like Fallout, not Oblivion, and horses won't be in unless they can 'get them feeling right', so still up in the air.

There is a thread about multiplayer, currently it is not being developed so that means no multiplayer in Skyrim.
Level is different from Oblivion, more like Fallout 3 with areas having specific levels.
Mounted Combat is something we've heard nothing about so far.

Multiplayer is highly unlikely

Level scaling has been said to be more like Fallout 3, some random encounters will scale to a certain level range, and then theres big areas of the map where all the monsters are "as is." Not sure how the loot scaling will be.. I hope it's minimal to none.

I'm hoping there'll be a bit of mounted combat, but unless there are bandits riding on horseback, I'm guessing it'd be pretty hard to make horseback combat non-OP. I don't think horses have been confirmed so obviously mounted combat would not be confirmed yet.

Questions about multiplayer should go http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1171828-official-discussion-of-multi-playerco-op-in-skyrim/, as for the others... I haven't a clue.

All multiplayer discussion needs to be kept in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1171828-official-discussion-of-multi-playerco-op-in-skyrim/. There are also active topics about level scaling and horses so I'll go ahead and lock this one.
