Doom Crash

Well, to get to the point, I seem to be trapped in the courtyard in front of New Sheoth palace. For one reason or another, whenever I attempt to go to any other cell, the game crashes. This is an especially big buzz-kill because it always seems to occur after beating Jyggalag, and trying to go back into the palace, it crashes. At first I thought: "OH NoES! ONE OF THE GOLDEN SAINTS SPAWNING IN MUST BE CORRUPT!" But after attempting to go into both the houses of Mania, Dementia, and trying to go into Crucible, I realized it was just a cell change crash. So I thought, "Ah. Well I remember reading somewhere that autosaving on "Interior/exterior" switch could be un-stable, so I disabled it in the .ini, but the problem still persists. I also managed to almost run up to Haskill bfore it crashed, so it's not immediate, but still... and I would LOVE to put up my load order, but for one reason or another BOSS decided "Hey, look, I'd love to help ya, but I'm tired so I'll just put it alphabetical order, NO TAKE BACK-SEE'S!". It originally said something about not being able to find masterlist.old, but I do have the updated plain ol' masterlist.txt in my data folder... should I just re-name it or am I actually missing something? I was also running BOSS from Bash, if that matters. Furthermore, it would be quite difficult to make a cleansave without SI, being that I'm stuck in the SI. (Also, kind of off-topic question, but if you were to make a clean-save from a quest mod, or mod that adds quests, when you re-activate the mod, would you lose your rank/would the quests get reset? Thanks.)

Are you running "No Quest Popups" ? It is an option with DarkUIDarn. If so, try temporarily disabling it. (I had this issue, deactivated the UI omod, got past the problem area, reactivated.)

Are you running "No Quest Popups" ? It is an option with DarnUIDark. If so, try temporarily disabling it. (I had this issue, deactivated the UI omod, got past the problem area, reactivated.)

No, I don't even use Darn. But thanks anyways. Also, this time when I tried I actually managed to get to Haskill, but I didn't talk to him because I kind'a confused on whether it was going to crash or not, but it crashed, and it still probably would've crashed while I was talking anyways... Also, something completely (almost) random but-maybe-affecting it, there's a random Dark Seducer just kinda standing there with her weapon un-sheathed... I think she was supposed to come out with the rest of them, but I guess she was kind'a slow on the draw... while I'm sure this has absolutely no bearing on anything, I was just kind'a thinking maybe Oblivion would be like: "Wait... isn't that Seducer supposed to dead? WTF? NO GAME FOR YOU!" So, IDK, just reporting non-sense...

Oh and to answer your question above, if you clean save without a quest mod you do lose your progress.

Also, I had made a funny install of OOO - I had incorrectly installed the manual version, then correctly installed the .exe, but didn't bother getting rid of the manual stuff. Runs fine though.

EDIT: Nope, still crashed. But thanks anyways. Though I guess I should say that I noticed that my save is now orange in WB. Not sure how fighting Jyggalag would bring it to Orange from Purple, but I think I might know why...

Hey, just curious, is there a way to get a .bak to behave as a normal save? I just realized in Bash that one of the autosaves it made during Inter/Exter switch actually is in purple, while my other saves are Orange. I tried a couple things, but I couldn't get that box to get checked. The main reason I'm interested is because, well, it's worth a shot seeing if on that save it would crash, too.

EDIT: Not sure if it's worth mentioning at all, but almost all my mods in my actual save are in Orange except for the main Oblivion.esm and the Un-official Oblivion Patch...

EDIT2: Again, not sure if this is a big deal, but I just noticed that there's still a dead "Knight of Order" on the ground, despite the fact that Jyggalag's entrance effect is supposed to kill the alive and remove the dead -- Not sure how this could severely de-stabilize my game, but I also recall this happening the first time I noticed this bug. (That time, my last save was before the fight.) There was one Knight left then too, and both times they've both had some kind of frost effect or something on their corpse -- Like I said, I hardly think this would be game-breaking, but it's still something. I guess I'll try disabling him and see if that somehow magically fixes it...

Well I'll be a [censored] Chipmunk running across a Texas road during rushhour -- Disabling the dead knight fixed it. No joke. Disabling. A dead knight. Fixed a game breaking bug. As soon as I disabled him, both the Dark Seducer and Golden Saint guards appeared outside the castle -- which until now I never noticed them gone -- and my game didn't crash upon going anywhere. I mean... What the [censored]?
