Map Reference Tool

It's probably too late in the stage of development to add this, but it would be great to be able to mark a spot on the map or your location in the game and type in some personal notes about that location. But be able to do that in as many locations as you want, not just a single map marker. I would not want to see an actual marker on the map unless there was a second version of that map only used to show those marked locations. Or better yet, your notes are stored in an ingame book that you can open and read and there's a fold out map in the book with your markers.

Seriously, if you are wandering around in a world and have a map, it's quite normal to make notes and comments at the different locations you encounter. Even if it's just to make note that you cleared out a dungeon, or see something interesting you want to come back to later so you don't forget where it was or what it was. I don't think this idea would be worthwhile unless you can link your notes to a map location.

It would rock if you could then later bring up your notes and link that location to your compass so now you can follow that marker back to that location.

Agreed - You should be able to make joural Entries on any location as a map reference. This would allow you to 'forget' that last level in that cave becuase the creatures where too hard to beat, and then only to read your journal 5 days later to remember the world of pain your forgot to bring...

Would be cool, but probably not going to happen.
