Conflicts Between Large Quest Mods

Post » Sat Oct 02, 2010 4:51 am

Hello all

I am currently running a a heavilly modded FCOM game and have crammed it with every large scale quest I can find. My question for the much wiser minds than mine on the board is a simple one. Will any of these conflict and cause me headaches? I have all the compatibilty patches I think I need (for FCOM, UL etc) but will they conflict at all with each other? I hope not as i cant wait to play them all....

Quest Mods I am running:
Kragnirs Death Quest
Aylied Ruins Expanded
Ayleid Steps
Bravil Blood and Mud
Lost Spires
Bartholm
Integration - The Stranded light
the Oubiette
Windfall
Origin of the Mages Guild
Let the People Drink
A brotherhood renewed
Heart of the Dead
Ruined Tail
Ivellon
Tear of the Fiend
Epic Dungeon

(I think that is all) I'm just starting this new game (only 5 hours in) and i expect its going to take me about 500 hours to play it all...

Thanks a lot in advance everyone. Peoples knowledge and helpfulness here always amaze me.

I haven't tried The Oubliette, but they should all work together if you install the right patches and quest delayers.
But note that if you get any problems with OMG you are on your own. That mod is no longer supported and any problem it may cause is not allowed to discuss.

Heh, it was excactly TOTF I had in mind.
Of the others I think only HoD could use a delayer and Aellis is on the case.

I run nearly the same group of quest mods.
  • Make sure you get all the applicable patches for LTPD.
  • Drop OMG. It does cause conflicts with some other quest and location mods.

Just for future reference, I suggest collecting all of Giskaard's mods and saving them in a seperate folder from everything else. Once you've played through the quests you've already got, do a clean install with only Giskaard's mods. Then play through his stuff. He's got a bunch, they're big, and they do work with each other.

All of those should work with each other fine. None of them try to occupy the same locations. Lost Spires has a delayer too, which is probably handy.

cheers guys. So what's the best plan for OMG? Should I uninstall it?
I like to get a stable build then play. I won't be installing or uninstalling mods once I get going....
