It just looked like another fps. I didn't see any use of the free running, and to be honest, I'm scared to try new fps games anymore. After attending pax, Brink just started to look like a new CoD/TF2 etc... The class system that seems to closely resemble TF2 and the seemingly run and gun game play just made me go into this "meh" state. I really don't like what FPS is out there atm and have my arguments, but that's another discussion.
My boredom and the close release date, however, drove me to going back to the old Brink trailers and videos that made me so hyped about a year ago. I can't say its the same thing now, but hell worth a shot I guess. Also the fact that I bought mortal kombat for ps3 and haven't been able to go online (which is why i bought it) once yet. QQ! I truly hope this game delivers though, and is not just another yknow...
Anyways, I have a question. Is there going to be a way, if anybody knows, to turn off those little xp blips that float in your face whenever you do something? I like the ranking system in FPS games usually, but I cannot stand seeing that I got 10xp in my face every time I got a kill. Showing me at the end of the fight is nice, but I don't need to know I got this much xp for killing a guy when I've got two more coming for me. Its distracting as hell! So yeah, is there a way to just tell it to go away?
