Is there really any reason for killing Caesar? I killed the entire camp, but lost Boone and ED-E in the process. Should I reload my earlier file or was it not worth it?

I blasted everyone at the camp. Immensly satisfying experience.

After killing everyone in the camp the only thing that i noticed was that they guy on the radio talks about his assassination.

A couple of times I would walk around a casino and a guy would say, "hey, that's the guy who killed caesar.
